Three Gold Medals. One Grateful Heart.

Dear all,

We are truly humbled and beyond grateful to share that The Male-Efficient has been awarded three Gold Medals at the Sarawak International Choral Festival & Symposium 2026:

🥇 Equal Voices (TB) – Gold Medal & Category Winner
🥇 Folklore – Gold Medal
🥇 Musica Sacra – Gold Medal

These achievements are the result of countless hours of rehearsals, unwavering commitment, and the incredible support we have received along the way.

To our families, alumni, friends and everyone who has believed in us, thank you. Your encouragement, prayers, and trust have carried us through every challenge, and this success belongs to all of us.

While we celebrate this milestone, we do so with humility, knowing that every achievement is also an opportunity to continue learning and growing.

As proud representatives of Sabah, we remain committed to raising the standard of choral excellence and bringing the Sabahan choral community to even greater heights, one performance at a time.

The Male-Efficient has qualified for the SICFest & SICSym 2026 Grand Prix Competition.

We are truly grateful and humbled to be among the finalists alongside such remarkable choirs from Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This opportunity is an honour, and we are thankful for every person who has supported us throughout this journey.

We will be competing in the Grand Prix on Sunday, 21 June 2026, at 1.30 p.m., at the Rainforest Grand Ballroom, voco Kuching by IHG.

As we prepare for the Grand Prix, we ask for your prayers, encouragement, and well wishes. May we perform with confidence, humility, and hearts that honour the music we share.

Whatever the outcome, we are already grateful to be part of this unforgettable experience.

We are excited to welcome choirs from across Sabah, Malaysia and beyond to celebrate harmony, artistry and community. Join us on 27–28 March 2026 at the JKKN Sabah Auditorium for two days of beautiful voices, meaningful connections and unforgettable performances.

With categories for Children, Teenagers, Equal Voices, Open Choir and Vocal Ensembles, this festival is a platform for every choir to shine.

Today, The Male-Efficient stands among the Top 5 Best Male Choirs in the world and we are still trying to catch up with this news.

This didn’t happen overnight.
It didn’t happen easily.
And it definitely didn’t happen because of us alone.

To our families, relatives, friends and everyone who has walked beside us since 2015, THANK YOU. You lifted us through the difficult moments, celebrated our small steps and believed in us long before the world ever looked our way. Nothing about this journey was simple, but your support made it possible. Ten years later, to be recognised globally, we are truly blessed far bigger than we deserved.

This achievement comes with great responsibilities we hold close to our hearts. We don’t sing just for ourselves but we sing to carry Sabah with us.
To tell our stories.
To honour our culture.
To show the world the beauty of where we come from.

If our voices can bring Sabahan music and Malaysian identity to greater heights, then every sacrifice, every practice, every moment of doubt was worth it.

THANK YOU again from the deepest part of our hearts; for staying, for supporting, for believing in us.

Please help us spread the word that we are opening our doors to more singers and pianists for our upcoming projects. If your connections love music, harmony and good company, we would love to hear from them and you too.

Auditions are open every Tuesday and Friday throughout November 2025 at JKKN Sabah. Please refer to the poster and pm us for more details of the auditions process.
