NOCHE ROMÁNTICA ✨
Saturday, January 24th • Epiphany Center for the Arts

For the second year in a row, The Mambo Revival returns as the Official Pre-Party for the 25th Anniversary Chicago International Salsa Congress.

This year we’re celebrating salsa romántica with a two-hour live concert by Junior Rivera y su Orquesta, performing the timeless hits that made generations fall in love with salsa —
Jerry Rivera, Frankie Ruiz, Tito Nieves, Eddie Santiago, Lalo Rodríguez and more.

In between and after the live sets, our DJs will be keeping the floor moving with the best of salsa and cha cha all night long.

The evening also features:
• A debut performance by The Moves Project directed by Adrian Tenorio
• A special performance by Lane Tech’s Continente Azul, one of Chicago’s top youth salsa teams — come support the next generation of dancers

We’ll also be hosting the Finals of the 2026 Best Social Dancer Competition, plus we’re giving away two night passes to the 2026 Chicago International Salsa Congress during the event.

Live music. Beautiful historic venue. Incredible dancers. Real social dancing.

🎟 Tickets are live now

Before I start promoting again, I just want to say a few things from the heart.

Like many of you, I’ve been deeply impacted by everything happening in our dance community. I want to acknowledge the pain, the anger, and most importantly—the bravery of those who have spoken up. It takes unimaginable strength to share your story, and I stand with you.

As an organizer, I must also acknowledge that my role goes far beyond good music and a packed dance floor. It’s my responsibility to make sure The Mambo Revival remains a place where people feel safe, seen, and respected. That means we do not tolerate harmful behavior of any kind. Period. If someone makes others feel unsafe, they will be removed and banned. Simple as that.

And as I said last week, I’m committed to learning and growing. I’m always open to feedback and conversations on how I can do better. Feel free to reach out any time: machitoproductions1@gmail.com

With that said, I am VERY EXCITED to invite you to the next Mambo Revival on April 13th at Epiphany Center for the Arts, as we welcome our headliner, DJ Carmencita—an international salsa DJ with 20 years in the game and a phenomenal talent straight from Puerto Rico. We’re creating a space to dance, to connect, and to reclaim our art—together. ❤️
———————————————
I also want to address something upfront: initially, we advertised that The Mambo Revival would raffle off a one-night pass to CSBF during our April 13th event. However, I want to make it clear that we will no longer be doing so. The pass that was donated represents the extent of our affiliation with CSBF.

We want to make it abundantly clear that we stand firmly on the side of what is right, and we fully support and stand with survivors.

with love,

Almost a week later, and I’m still feeling the love from this event. The reception, kind words, and encouragement have been incredibly gratifying and reaffirm that we are on the right path.

My hope was to bring Chicago’s mambo dancers under one roof and celebrate what our city has to offer. I truly believe we accomplished that.

What a gift it is to have a friend and confidant like Greg, who lends his artistry and passion and captures these moments so beautifully. Take a moment to appreciate the emotion in his photographs. We’re lucky to have him in our scene.

I’m equally grateful for the relationships I’ve built with Arcadia and Konstain. Beyond their incredible talent, they are genuinely wonderful people, and I look forward to creating together for years to come.

Thank you all for being part of so special to me. Until next time. ❤️ taken in Chicago, Illinois by @themamborevival

If you were at the first DJ Invitational… YOU KNOW.

Alvin drew the first slot that night and came READY. Absolutely killed his set — but of course still had enough left in the tank to hit the dance floor with Briana afterward! 💪

Next Saturday, October 10, we are back. DJ Invitational Vol. 2 takes over the Copernicus Center with three new DJs getting one hour each to bring their absolute BEST to the dance floor.

Plus Arcadia & Konstantin are back in Chicago from Sweden, performances, and a whole lotta mambo.

Tickets in bio. See you next Saturday.
