300 blackout subsonic suppressed on a bolt gun is better than an anti depressant. by @themandamarza
Meet Rocky 🥰 by @themandamarza
- @teraflexsuspension Falcon 3.3 SP2 fast adjust shocks for the Jeep are 🔥. I was worried they were going to be too stiff for the street from forum posts but that is absolutely wrong. I even find myself setting these to medium stiff half the time. I can’t imagine how fragile those who complain about these are. Then again I daily drove my M3 with K3 Clubsports with linear track springs and a baby in the back so maybe I’m used to it 🤷🏼‍♀️. 10/10 would recommend these and would buy them again. Only other shocks I was considering were King’s, but those were damn near 30% of the Jeeps value so decided against that 🤑. The Jeep feels SO much for fun off road and I can go way harder now to the point where it feels like the rest of the Jeep is going to fall apart from all the rattling 😅. - I need a lift kit, but something as low as possible. I’m thinking @synergymfg 2” Stage 1 lift which will be good for the rear (which is often heavily loaded) but may be too high for the front. Or maybe I’ll just add a winch to lower the front a bit 😎. Other recommendations are also welcome! The Clayton 1.5” actually lifts 2 doors closer to 3” so that’s out of the question. I was also considering take off XR springs but I like the synergy dual rate springs. I still don’t really know what I’m talking about with Jeeps aside from what I read on forums so clue me in if I’m missing something. - @vortexoptics AMG 1-10. It’s the best LPVO on the market, no doubt about it. I’m just worried I’m wasting its amazing performance at 10x with 300 blackout, and now find myself looking at the 16” 5.56 or 6ARC @unpossible_by_q Mini Fix instead… #vortexpartner #vortexnation #amg by @themandamarza
Exotic cats and SPR’s 🤤 18” ADM rifle. Once you get used to longer AR15’s, it’s soooo hard to go back to the brutality of short barreled 5.56 rifles (without a can). Over time I find myself taking my 14.5” -18” rifles on my desert trips, and when I want something shorter I don’t use anything besides my MP5. Maybe that’s what comes with age and maturity.. Or maybe I’m just getting lazy and like to lay or sit down when shooting 🤷🏼‍♀️ - @americandefensemfg 18” UIC Mod-2 SPR - @usoptics_official FND17x with ADM mount by @themandamarza
I took my SCAR 20S after finally swapping out my Elcan for more magnification during sunset to around 900 yards and realized that the most important quality for me in a long range optic is RESOLUTION / CLARITY and CONTRAST. One of my targets didn’t have a lick of paint on it and it was so hard to make out among all the shrubs and brush on the mountain side. I was able to find it rather quick and some of the others I was with couldn’t even spot me bc they couldn’t find the target. I thought they were being idiots but finally went behind their optics and couldn’t make out crap. Seriously, even knowing where the target was it took me SO long to find it with subpar glass. Also, people rave about chromatic aberration all the time but does CA ever keep you from making a shot? How often are you shooting at objects with the sky as the background anyways?! It certainly hasn’t ever been an issue for me. I think people talk about CA so often bc it’s easy to make out quickly whereas you need a fine eye to notice differences in color, contract and clarity. Light transmission is also obviously a major factor. Higher objective lens diameter and lower magnification always means more light transmission. I am absolutely a fan of my Steiner 3-18x56. Reticle is next best thing to an ACSS, the locking uncapped turrets are 😮‍💨👌, clarity is on par with 2x priced optics, and it sucks in light like a black hole. Yeah it has some CA, and I’m fine with that bc I can see past (no pun intended) that rather inconsequential flaw and worthwhile trade off for what is possibly the best clarity out of any magnified optic in its price range. So yes. This gets my seal of “I would recommend this to my own dad”, which is about as high of a compliment I can give… — @brownellsinc BOP Build — - @steineropticsusa T6Xi 3-18x56 with MRD2 reticle - @fn_america SCAR 20S in 308 - @scalarworks LEAP Mount - @lynxdefense rifle and duffle bag - @tatargets AMAZING reactive target. Buenaveza beer run 🍻 Optic setup on the Mini Fix is phenomenal. It’s my 2nd magnifier / red dot / prism flip combo and probably won’t be my last.. While I LOVE the SRO and think it’s the best single optic for a 300 BLK Mini Fix, it doesn’t magnify well (dot gets fuzzy) and is missing an extra hold which is useful for how much 300 BLK drops. I’ll probably switch it out for an EOTECH XPS2-2 from @brownellsinc so I can have it mounted lower + the @tacomhq prism will give me 6 different holds on the reticle vs 2 with the SRO (don’t underestimate how fun it is to lob 300 BLK at 300 yards 😅). I also might switch to a G45 magnifier for that added bit of eye relief (short eye relief optics are always a pain on bolt guns). HMU if anyone can recommend any other non Chinese magnifiers with better eye relief 🙌. Yes, it’s more complicated than an LPVO *AT FIRST*. But once you get used to it it’s surprisingly simple. Highly recommend for any other non-LPVO fans out there 😉. 2 door Jeeps and MP5’s.. I’m not very practical but I am fun 💁🏼‍♀️. If you’re in the market for a Jeep, let me make a case for a 2 door over the 4 door.. Practicality for daily use has never been an issue. I have that @pakmule carrier on for weeks at a time with a Yeti strapped to the back (which probably won’t work if you live in high crime cities 😉) and LOVE putting groceries right into a Yeti cooler. It really is a vibe, and if I know I’m going to get ice cream or sea food I’ll throw a Yeti ice in there beforehand. On single day off roading trips, I don’t use it and my trunk space is enough for recovery bag, meal and drinks. If camping, I take it to the camp site, off load all the gear as normal and simply remove the carrier. I can do it by myself in under a minute. We hit the trails and make it back to camp, and when it’s time to go home just slide it back into the hitch and tighten down. As for the MP5, once you get over the urge to keep it stock and trick it out, it feels like cheating. Yeah yeah yeah, it’s as heavier, less powerful with less range as a 300 Blackout SBR, but it feels like it has auto aim. All my friends have shot that MP5 and it’s unanimous, it’s by far the most enjoyable and easy to shoot firearm in my entire collection. AR’s seem ‘uncivilized’ in comparison 😅. — @brownellsinc build details — - @hecklerandkoch SP5 - @knightarmco RAS rail and optic mount - @eotech XPS3 - @whiterhyno692000 chopped KAC grip - @revolutionaryrollerlocks ACR stock - @modlitesystems PLHv2 with Lite button by @themandamarza
Has anyone compared a SCAR 20S vs an MR762 LRP?? I’m obsessed with my SCAR and can’t imagine it being even better.. Not that I would ever get rid of this, as it really was and continues to be a dream gun of mine. It gets HALF MOA at 100 yards, and I was even able to get sub-3/4 MOA at 900 yards. It also loves cheap ammo and barely gets over a 0.1 MOA boost when comparing cheap 80cpr Bullets 1st ammo with a dollar sixty per round Norma Golden Target ammo. It even gets sub MOA with Malaysian surplus ammo (but not at distance for some reason). Plus, it looks sexy AF (or maybe it’s just a vibe). I also think it’s appropriately heavy, but I’m not really running and gunning with a .308.. The biggest downside is that it kicks a bit more than I would expect for a 20” .308 with this much weight. Especially with the Elcan’s short eye relief that can make recoil more surprising, it takes a few rounds of warmup to get used to the recoil again after coming from an AR15 😅. Maybe that’s where the HK shines? PS don’t bother me with a Sig SPEAR recommendation. PSA is 2x more accurate than one of those at 1/4 the price 🙄. I picked up my SCAR and the almighty Elcan 1.5/6x42mm from @brownellsinc 🙌. Big shout out to them. Also rocking a @btindllc Atlas bipod and @knsprecisioninc diSCARder. Oh and a @unpossible_by_q G sling 😎. PS swipe to see updated kitty pics 🐈 by @themandamarza
There’s a lot going on with this optic setup, so let me spill the beans. I have an @eotech EXPS mounted on a @scalarworks LEAP/12. I removed the factory QD mount in order to bolt it onto the Scalarworks mount. The mount raises it to 2.26” and pushes it forward considerably. A lot of people use it to push it past the upper receiver and over the hand guard. I instead mount it a little further back and have a QD sling mount under the optic + that lets me have proper eye relief with the magnifier. The magnifier goes on a removable picatinny mount that attaches to the EOTECH mount and keeps its QD functionality. The piece in front of the EOTECH is a @tacomhq Alpha TARAC. It’s a flip up prism sight that shifts aim of the optic (mine is the 9 MOA shift model). It’s perfect to account for bullet drop, allowing to aim with center dot at distance, which is SUPER useful when using an optic without a proper BDC reticle. I also think it’s super useful for short range use with high mounted optics (especially 2.26” height) to reduce height over bore issues. The 2.26” model also flips down more than to the side. It does protrude a bit to the left which is very ergonomic to flip up with your left hand. Yes this setup is more expensive than an LPVO and yes I like this more than any LPVO for a firearm I intend to use primarily at 1x. — @brownellsinc Build Details — - @radianweapons receiver set - @clouddefensive Micro Rein - @criterionbarrels 10.5” barrel (closer to 10.4” IMO) - @superlativearms adj gas block - @americantrigger trigger - @drivenarmsco grips - @sb.tactical HBPDW (which I’ve grown to like quite a lot) - @huxwrx Blastphemy by @themandamarza
Ready for the weekend! I’m going out to the desert with some friends and shooting .308, 6.5 CM and 6ARC - after a long and stressful week I couldn’t be more excited.. The plan (as always) is to get the Jeep loaded up with steel targets on the Pakmule and drive as far and as high up various hills as possible. Go through a few hundred rounds before wind picks up too much, do some light off roading and finish off with a cooler full of beers and lunch 🤤 I’m not sure I’ll know how to be stressed after that 😎 by @themandamarza
Double stamped CZ 🦂’s are the way to go.. especially for the Micro! Also, if you have the Micro sized Scorpion I highly recommend a suppressor wrap. The barrel / hand guard is so short that you WILL eventually make contact with the suppressor. A light mount that pushes out the light forward also works well for both suppressor shadow and ergonomics m. I tried using a light switch with mine but it didn’t feel right, and with the light pushed out my thumb naturally rests right behind it. Vertical grip also feels like a must! I secretly want to turn my IG into a Jeep page.. Don’t worry I included a pic of some Gucci @brownellsinc builds on the second slide to keep things relevant 😝 . Any Jeep fans here? Bc I need some suspension advice. Everything feels too stiff on the road. I don’t understand how such an off-road car can feel so bad going over speed bumps! And the rear end is too saggy (especially since I use a @pakmule all the time now). I’m looking to lift the rear ~1” and the front ~0.5”. Enough to eventually fit 35’s and of course level it out. Goal is for it to feel more like my Raptor. @kingshocks maybe? I don’t want to ruin on road drivability though! PS I got this Jeep ceramic coated and it’s insane. Pressure wash every other week (no soap or touching, literally just pressure wash and leaf blow) makes it look freshly detailed at all times. Such a good investment. Any input appreciated..
