Yesterday, I had the privilege of presiding as an adjudicator at Mtunzini Magistrates’ Court for the University of Zululand Annual Moot Court Competition, alongside the exceptional legal mind that is Magistrate S. M. Mthethwa, and my fellow colleague in the profession, Ms Mahila - Nkwatle from the NPA.

The students grappled with complex questions of public international law, requiring them to apply those principles to the facts, apply authorities, and defend their positions under questioning.

What made the exercise particularly valuable was witnessing the students engage with the law critically and think on their feet in a courtroom setting.

A wonderful day of legal analysis and intellectual engagement. What a privilege! taken in Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal by @themandieffect
