It took me two months and five days to find the courage in me to share the biggest moment of loss in the history of my life…. And today is October 27th commemorates an early Día De Los Muertos for animals and our beloved pets. My Jolie girl left my earthly world August 22nd, 2025 suddenly. Despite the fact that she was nearly 11 Years old, she stayed exactly the same fit and active puppy I remember in this first photo. As you scroll on towards the ends of this slide, she in real time progresses in age and you tell me if you notice a difference in her swagger aside from her greying face. You never would have thought she was hiding heart disease and a major tumor in her heart and multiple others over her liver.
I expected her getting older but seeing her perfectly fine from one day to the next, she did not jump up on me for the first time I came home, I knew something was wrong.
Losing her was my biggest heart wrenching tragedy, and I was scared to post about her because I felt as though over a decade of my existence would never be done justice on a instagram post.
This girl right here was and still is the love of my life, I helped her heal out of being a hi-kill shelter dog who was terrified of men. She overcame so may fears of loud noises and bodies of water she wasn’t sure of. While I couldn’t help her heal everything , she became the most peaceful version of herself I could have ever hoped for.
I thanked God every single day for her as I lived each moment I could to the fullest extent I could with her. She came here to do what she had to do and she helped me heal as much I helped her heal. ❤️‍🩹
God blessed me with the most perfectly matched soul dog I always dreamed of having since a child. 🎁
I had to process so much… guilt, fear, and anger that maybe I could have and should have done more for her and her health. But then I remembered I had her since I was 16 years old and did the absolute best with the resources I had.
For those of you that know Jolie personally, you know she struggled with immense amounts of anxiety and the stress that she put on her nervous system and cardiovascular system was one of the biggest challenges we faced with her health…. taken in Somewhere Over the Rainbow by @themanemage
