It feels like being on cloud 9 standing back and looking at this finished work

•Creating this took 4 months of working every day off and poring all my energy into this new work. I haven’t been this devoted to a vision since college.
.

•When I began this I felt compelled to try translating my illustration style into a freemotion embroidery patchwork quilt. I’m so thrilled with the all the new discovery’s I made during this process.

•The title for this work is “I AM WOMAN” I reflected on what it means to me to be a women. Creator of life, dreams and my own future. Protector of children. Lover and partner. Wise with the wisdom of all the women before me. Free and powerful! Wild women .

Everything came together super last minute! We just delivered this last week all the way to Ventura! Then the opening was the next day.Huge thanks to my hubby for the help with the crazy delivery!

My new work, I Am Women will be displayed @hgalleryandstudios until January by appointment only for gallery viewing.

When creating I concentrated on what it means to me to be a women. Creator, painting my own destiny. Fully surrendering to my feminine nurturing spirt glowing inside me. Creator of life! Mother, Sister, Daughter…All the women before me help guide the path. Tapping into the freedom of thought and the limitless sensation of joy.
The duality of heartache and darkness are raw but still always finding light. ascending into my greatest version .

This free-motion embroidery thread painting was made using hundreds of small pieces of fabric layered and patched together. Using this stitching technique I am able to capture the gesture as if I’m painting with a thread. I love using this technique when I am creating. My grandmother was an artist and quilter. She taught me this technique and greatly influences and inspires everything I create today.

**THE HALLOWEEN MAIL I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR 🎃🐈‍⬛**

I’m SO excited about this little package that just landed on my doorstep. A handmade, one-of-a-kind black cat + pumpkin bucket that is somehow even cuter in person.

There’s just something about handmade Halloween decorations that hits different. The little quirks, the old-school charm, knowing someone actually made it by hand instead of it rolling off an assembly line… these are the pieces I want to collect and keep forever.

Safe to say, this one has officially found a home in my Halloween collection. 🧡

🎃 CODE ORANGE. HALLOWEEN IS GETTING Handmade. 🐈‍⬛

I’m not really interested in buying another piece of Halloween décor that’s mass-produced, perfectly identical, and destined for the trash in a few years.
So I made these instead.

Every one of these vintage-inspired papier-mâché pails was made by hand by me, Jesse. They’re wonky in the right places, each one has its own personality, and no two are exactly alike.

These are made to be pulled out of the attic every October. To collect a little wear and a lot of memories. To eventually become the weird old Halloween decoration your kids remember from childhood — and maybe fight over someday.

Heavy-duty papier-mâché over a sturdy plastic pail means these are actually made to survive Halloween after Halloween. Not flimsy seasonal crap. Not something you’ll replace next year.

MAKE THINGS. KEEP THINGS. PASS THEM DOWN.

Once these 14 are gone, they’re gone.

Sick of all the mass-produced, cookie-cutter Halloween decor? Same. 🎃

I’d much rather make the weird, quirky, slightly wonky things that become *your family’s things* — the decorations your kids grow up with, remember forever, and eventually fight over when they’re adults. 😂

I have such fond memories of the decorations we had in our house when I was growing up. They weren’t necessarily perfect or expensive, but they were *ours* — and somehow those little objects became part of my childhood.

Now that I’m a mom, I can’t wait to create those same kinds of memories for my own child. That’s what inspired this collection of vintage-style Halloween decorations: recreating that nostalgic feeling of childhood Halloween and making something that can hopefully be loved for generations.

Less mass-produced. More handmade. More weird. More *yours*. 🖤🎃

POV: You stop buying clothes and start making them instead. 🤍✨

This skirt was made from an old pillowcase, a vintage tablecloth, and a few doilies. The adjustable drawstring waist is SO comfy, and I already can’t wait to make more.

There is something so satisfying about turning forgotten textiles into pieces you’ll actually wear. Handmade just hits different. 🌿♻️
