3 years (or 13 years) in the making. Definitely worth the wait

I remember meeting Sam and Brian for the first time over three years ago when we sat together at Posta. We looked at Sam’s mood board, which she had printed out, and I knew right then that this wedding was going to be amazing. I couldn’t wait for the day to come.

The vibes throughout the entire day were immaculate. I’ve always said that weddings make or break based on the connection you have with your bridesmaids and groomsmen and how long you’ve known them, and this wedding was a perfect example. Every time I talked to one of the bridesmaids or groomsmen, they said they’d known Sam and Brian since kindergarten, elementary school, or high school, so you could feel that everyone’s connection was top-notch.

It was beautiful at this wedding, and the fall colors in Ontario delivered like always, so we put a drone in the air and got some epic shots. There weren’t enough photos to fit in one carousel, so I can’t wait to post more.

From the very first planning conversations with Emily & Matt, to seeing every floral, colour, and little detail come together on wedding day, this one was SO special.

YOUR WEDDING DOESN’T HAVE TO LOOK LIKE INSTAGRAM. It should look like YOU. 🤍

We met Emily more than a year before her wedding, and it was pretty much love at first contact.

There are a million things we could say about this girl, but the best way to describe her?

Free.

Completely, unapologetically free.

Honestly, we’re fairly certain she was born in the wrong era. 😂

When it came to her wedding photos, Emily knew exactly what she DIDN’T want.

She didn’t want to spend her day posing.

She didn’t want to recreate whatever was trending on Instagram.

She didn’t want her wedding to feel like a photoshoot.

She wanted to marry Matthew.

She wanted to laugh until her face hurt.
Eat the food. Drink the drinks. Kiss her people. Dance. Be ridiculous. Get messy. And actually LIVE the day she had spent so long waiting for.

So that’s exactly what she did.

And THIS is what happens when you stop worrying about what a wedding is supposed to look like and just let it look like you.

The laughter. The chaos. The cake. The champagne. The little looks between them. The moments that could never be recreated because they were never manufactured in the first place.
