My stunning bride Hannie wore fingerless lace gloves with a drop waist taffeta wedding dress down the aisle in Vegas.

Inspired by 80s punk elements fused with vintage romance, I designed her bridal gloves using lace reclaimed from her mother’s heirloom cardigan.

Vintage silhouettes, modern midis, delicate structural elements, and sheer overlays filled the moodboards throughout the 6 months I worked with Grace designing the wedding dress of her dreams. As a wedding guest reported, she was a VISION in the resulting silk taffeta midi dress with an organza ruffle neckline, and I couldn’t agree more!

✨The Mare Atelier Client✨

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.”

On a dreamy June day surrounded by family and friends in the English countryside, my lovely bride Ruby walked down the aisle in a redesigned vintage silk taffeta dress with off-the-shoulder straps effortlessly draped across the shoulders.

When Ruby called me a few months before her wedding saying “My best friend Beth gave me your number and is letting me borrow her wedding dress! Do you think you could help transform it into my own for my wedding?” I was beyond thrilled. Getting to work on a dress I’d previously spent months redesigning for another dear client last year was so special.

I’ve always been passionate about creating with sustainability in mind, and there’s something so full circle about a dress being loved, reimagined, and worn again by two best friends 🤍 taken in England, UK by @themareatelier
