I’m going to tell you a story.

The story of a woman who was afraid more times than she would like to admit, who questioned herself, cried in silence, and still found the strength to get up one more time.

It’s the story of someone who learned that dreams are not built in one brave moment. They’re built through hundreds of small decisions made when no one is watching.

Over the years, I’ve realized that people usually celebrate the outcome, but they rarely see everything it took to get there. Every milestone carries difficult conversations, sacrifices, sleepless nights, lessons, and an unwavering faith that things will come together at the right time.

I’ve also learned that life feels different when you stop measuring your worth by other people’s opinions and start building a life that reflects who you truly are. From that place, serving others, teaching, and encouraging people becomes something that flows naturally.

I’m not sharing my story because it’s perfect. I’m sharing it because someone needs to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward. You only need the courage to take the next step.

If there’s one thing I hope people remember about me, I hope it’s not the businesses I’ve built, the stages I’ve spoken on, or the recognition I’ve received. I hope they remember that I believed in people before they believed in themselves, and that they walked away feeling stronger, more hopeful, and ready to keep going.

What sometimes feels like an obligation was exactly what I used to pray for.

What in your day today used to be a goal?

I’m back 🔥 One of the best lessons I’ve learned is that protecting your peace sometimes means unfollowing people on social media.

Over the years, I’ve become more intentional about who I allow to influence the way I think. Some accounts are filled with gossip, unnecessary drama, or people who have broken my trust. Others simply don’t reflect the kind of person or business owner I want to become.

The content you consume shapes your perspective, your decisions, and your confidence more than you realize.

Six years ago, I started Tres Marketing during one of the most uncertain seasons of my life.

What began as a small business has grown into an agency, a team, a vision, and a way to serve business owners with more strategy, clarity, and intention.

Every year has taught me something different.

How to lead better.
How to make harder decisions.
How to trust the numbers.
How to build systems.
How to protect the quality of the work.
How to keep growing without losing the heart behind why I started.

None of it came easy. All of it was worth it.

I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I’m grateful for every client, collaborator, team member, referral, lesson, and opportunity that has been part of this journey.

But six years in, Tres Marketing gave me something I didn’t expect, and that was a foundation to build something bigger.

It opened the door to Latina Business Club and Entrenando Latinos en Negocios, and what started as an agency grew into an educational resource for the Latino community, a place where business owners gain knowledge, community, and the tools to grow on their own terms.

Tres Marketing has always been about more than content creation. It’s about helping businesses grow with strategy, clarity, and intention, and that mission has only expanded from here.

Year seven is about going deeper. More courses, more educational resources, and partnerships that open doors we haven’t been able to open before. We are building something that serves the Latino business community at a level this region has never seen. taken in Chesterton, Indiana by @themaryrojas

Be in rooms where you can grow.

Where your mind is fed.
Where your goals are supported.
Where your standards are challenged.
Where you can become the next version of yourself.

And if the room does not help you grow, maybe it is not your room anymore.

Being a Latina entrepreneur means carrying your culture into everything you build, including the dance floor. 💃🔥

I work hard, I show up consistently, and I take my business seriously. But I also know that the energy I bring to what I build comes directly from moments like this one. From the music, from the community, from the people who remind me that growing a business doesn’t mean losing yourself in the process.

This is who I am. All of it. The strategy and the salsa. The boardroom and the dance floor. The mentor and the woman who will drop everything when her favorite song comes on.

If you’re building something real, don’t forget to also live while you’re doing it. 🤍 by @themaryrojas

More than a year ago I walked into an intimate dinner for women entrepreneurs in Northwest Indiana for the very first time. When it was my turn to share a win, I said that my win was simply allowing myself to be there, because somewhere along the way I had lost faith in women's communities and stopped believing they could be a safe space for me.

That was the truth and I said it out loud in a room full of strangers.

Today, more than a year later, I can say with complete certainty that going to that dinner was one of the best decisions I have made for my life and my business. Many of the women in that room are now my closest business friends.

I found the courage to found Latina Business Club.

I have been able to support dozens of women entrepreneurs in just one year.

And I became part of a community where neither language nor culture has ever been a barrier, where there is always a reason to discuss something meaningful and always someone willing to help find a solution.

If you are on the fence about showing up somewhere, joining something, or giving yourself permission to try again after disappointment, I hope this is your sign. 🤍

I love beautiful things. But when I have to choose where my money goes first, education wins every time.

Every investment I have made in learning, whether it's a course, a mentor, a conference, or the right room, has shown up directly in my business. In stronger strategy, in better clients, in a team that actually runs without me having to be everywhere at once.

This week I did exactly that at a business retreat by @laurennajar. 🙌

That experience is also why I created Latina Business Club and my mentorship program, because every entrepreneur deserves access to the right room, the right knowledge, and the right people to grow with.

Nice things are great. Building something real first is better. And building something real requires investing in the knowledge that gets you there.

What's the last investment you made in your own growth? Drop it in the comments. 👇 by @themaryrojas

My intention going into day one of @laurennajar ’s business retreat was simple; to be present. No to-do lists, no Slack messages, no thinking three steps ahead. Just show up and be there.

And then they started with breath work. Thanks to @krlmichelle

To be honest, my first reaction was skepticism. But the moment I actually slowed down and did the work, I realized how long I had been operating from a place of stress and urgency without even noticing it. That constant “go go go” energy was affecting every decision I was making in my business.

You cannot build a clear strategy when your nervous system is in survival mode. You cannot lead a team, close clients, or make good decisions from that place. Breath work isn’t a wellness trend. For entrepreneurs, it’s a performance tool.

Setting the intention to be present was the best decision I made that day, and it opened me up to everything that came after.

Your story is not just “personal content.”

It is context.

It helps people understand why you care, why you see the problem differently, and why they can trust your work.

The key is knowing how to use it with intention.

Use the questions in this carousel to turn your story into content that actually connects.

Save this for the next time you think, “I don’t know what to post.” by @themaryrojas

Because saying yes to the wrong client doesn't just cost you time, it costs you energy, focus, and the mental bandwidth you needed for the work that actually matters.

I've seen this pattern over and over again with entrepreneurs I've worked with. A client shows up with money, they're eager, they want to start immediately, and instead of pausing to ask the right questions, the business owner says yes because the invoice feels good in the moment.

What happens next is always the same. The scope creeps. The communication breaks down. The expectations were never aligned. And suddenly you're spending three times the energy you budgeted for that client, delivering work that never feels good enough to them, and wondering why you're exhausted even though business is technically going well.

That is not business going well. That is revenue without strategy, and it will burn you out faster than having no clients at all.

Before you say yes to the next client who's ready to pay you, ask yourself three questions: Do they understand what they're actually buying? Are their expectations realistic for what you can deliver? Would you be excited to show this work six months from now?

If the answer to any of those is no, the budget doesn't matter.

Save this for the next time you feel pressured to say yes. 👇 by @themaryrojas
