Our hearts are so full after our Integration and Harvesting October jummah series! We are so grateful to all that attended and brought such critical reflections to the space! We are honored to announce November’s jummah theme, Remembrance and Memory.

This month features the holiday that misrepresents the story of Indigenous folks on Turtle Island and reminds us that passing on stories, memory, and knowledge from one generation to another is part of resistance. This month features Trans Day of Remembrance when we honor the trans folks who are able to fully seen and those who were not and the creative ways we keep their narrative of existence, joy, and resistance alive. We will explore pathways to solidarity and connecting to ancestors with all the layers that may bring through Irish pro-Palestinian groups. We will focus on settler responsibility and grief in our final session.

Dates: Friday, November 6th - Friday, December 4th
Time: 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET

The Stop Arming Israel Coalition just launched, and we’re proud to be part of it.

In the face of rising fascism and repression, we need to move strategically, and we need to move together as a united front. The Stop Arming Israel Coalition will unite over 60 national organizations and local grassroots groups across the country in a shared commitment to Palestinian freedom and collective liberation. It is steered by Palestinian-led organizations and convened by @uscpraction.

Our solidarity is our greatest strength. Together we will fight to stop arming Israel and fund care for our communities, on the path toward a free Palestine and a liberated world.

Harvest and Death: A conversation presented by Yaffa about the spiral of life, how death leads to life and life leads to death which leads to new beginnings. What does it look like to process that through harvest we move through death, and it is through death that we move towards new beginnings, recognizing a liberated world is a new beginning. by @themasgd

📚 MASGD is humbled to announce our newest Substack essay, On Money Trauma!

Capitalism continues to force money as a means of survival. It’s what pays our rent, food, medicine. At its core, money is merely something of value — not necessarily pieces of paper or silver coins. Throughout this khutbah/essay, Yaffa invites you to ask yourself what money looks like in a liberated world.
* Please note, this essay is transcribed from a MASGD khutbah delivered by Mx. Yaffa (@yaffasutopia). MASGD has synthesized this essay for clarity and cohesion.
