Your pain may not have happened for that purpose, but you can give it purpose by using what you’ve learned to help someone else feel less alone.

Some of the most transformative moments in my life came from one-to-one conversations.

Someone pulled me to the side. Someone corrected me in private. Someone called me. Someone invited me to dinner just to talk. Someone took the time to listen before offering advice.

Those conversations have stayed with me.

So no matter how many people are in the audience, my goal is always to reach the one.

In hopes that one will reach another one... and remind them of the light they have inside.

The goal has never been to be someone’s light. The goal is to remind them they still have one.

And one by one, this dark world begins to look a little brighter. by @themattbennett_
