POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This one was special. After 5 very stable and predictable years in the film industry, I’m so f**king ecstatic to make my TV composer debut with NBC/Peacock on The Warehouse Phase.

But it’s more than that—this is a show that will hit home for anyone who’s creative and especially anyone who’s creative in Los Angeles. Back in 2020, I never would have thought social media and quality short form content would have led to surreal opportunities, but there’s an incredible artistic community here that cares about the future of this industry and the future of entertainment. I’m honored to be part of that, and The Warehouse Phase is all about the folks who are trying to make art in 2025. It’s also extremely funny and irreverent and ridiculous and REAL.

HUGE thank you to @charliecurtisbeard for trusting me with this project. You brought us all together and we’re just getting started.

Directors @samfreakingli and @darrencbui, @hitchhikersound, the dream team.

🎷 by @tristancappel and 🎺 by @nathankaymusic, they’re the best.

With Love and Gratitude,
Max taken in Los Angeles, California by @themaxberlin

Hello music lovers! We at the Unprecedented Music Association have exciting news. Welcome to the UMA team, Max Berlin! Max will be stepping in as our Associate Director of Development.

Whether as a pianist, composer, or songwriter, Max Berlin believes that great stories deserve great music. Based in Los Angeles, Max works actively in the music industry—having serviced the music of John Williams, Ludwig Göransson, and countless others for the recording stage. Max is a busy composer and arranger of media music, having recently joined Pierre Charles in creating music for the CBS crime drama East New York and the Amazon Studios comedy series Clean Slate. Max also orchestrated the Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone (2023) as well as the Amazon Prime holiday romance Something From Tiffany’s (2022).

Max has passion and experience in multiple musical styles, including jazz, R&B, studio orchestra, and indie pop—the latter showcased in his singer-songwriter project Berlin w/ Strings. His musical voice has also reached an audience of millions through Pixel Playhouse: a YouTube and social media channel dedicated to original narrative music in a cinematic orchestral style. Max recently reunited with choreographer and activist Leah Zeiger on scoring her newest long-form dance piece, HYSTERIA (2024). He is honored to compose as a means of activism and to underscore Leah’s exciting vision.

While studying at the Eastman School of Music, Max served as artistic and music director to the Empire Film and Media Ensemble (EFAME)—a nonprofit organization dedicated to the live performance of film music and innovative multimedia. He has since developed a deep and devoted connection to nonprofit arts—partnering with local organizations as a grant writer, fundraising strategist, and advocate for accessible cultural experiences in Los Angeles.

We are so elated to welcome Max to the team! by @themaxberlin

Hi!! In the aftermath of Barbenheimer weekend and continued solidarity for striking writers and actors—I’ve had a lot of internal conflict about this, but I decided I want to celebrate a personal music milestone. Two years ago I got a random call while thrifting at Goodwill to orchestrate a sci-fi comedy called They Cloned Tyrone—and it’s been out on Netflix! This movie is incredible satire and a wild ride. Honored to help bring this score to life and huge thanks to @bakersthumbshop and @pierrecharlesmusic for having me on board. taken in Los Angeles, California by @themaxberlin
