“Amanda Antiques” by @alliesandt has been on repeat for a while! If I had written this song about what Amanda means to Allie and applied it to myself, it would’ve ended up being about an Old Inn Keeper in Maine… so I think I should leave the song writing to Allie… 👻

I love this whole album, it’s so exciting to find someone so full of talent at the start of their career right before it takes! Her writing is so vivid, it brings to mind the Amanda’s you know in your own life. Give her album a listen, it’s amazing!

It’s such a joy to watch my Niece as she grows up and it’s an even greater joy watching my Brother and Sister in Law become such wonderful parents! Little Ruth is such a blessing, and she looked too cute to not draw! I love you Ruth! by @themaxwelltay

He’s gonna go on just so many adventures-

Zelda on a skateboard!? Who else from Zelda should I draw kick flipping it up?🛹

Link on a Skateboard when Nintendo!? This actually started as an assignment for one of my non art classes, we were supposed to just make a doodle out of a line… and I might’ve gone a bit overboard. The second slide shows the red line I used, that version follows the line exactly. I made some necessary anatomy changes to make the whole piece work better after that!

I think this might also be my first fan art drawing that I’ve posted… or done in general! The Legend of Zelda is a great first!

King Kevin the Medieval King Boss! 👑 What’s worse: Unfair working hours or getting thwacked with a spiked mace? Well when it comes to King Kevin… it’s both. Thank you @drewfordart for helping inspire this fine fellow, all those workers that are under his unfair rule have you to thank! 👏 👏👏

Medieval Office! 🏰 Don’t you hate it when you’re in the office and now you have to duel with your client?? I’m thinking about doing some more characters with the Medieval Office theme, let me know if there’s anything fun you’d like to see!

🥒Loony Lily Bainbridge from IT: Welcome to Derry. I’ve loved the show so far. IT will always have a special place in my heart. I love the original movie, remakes and book, no matter how cheesy it gets at times. The story and setting is captivating. Excited to see how it ends! 🎈

Big Life Update!
I got a job at Bento Box ATL as an Executive Assistant and will not be returning to Lipscomb. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and so excited to see where it leads and I thank God every day for it. I also thank God for all of the wonderful experiences I’ve had during my time at Lipscomb. I’m so grateful for my best friend Andrew Zink who’s been there for me since day one. You inspire me to be a better person and a better artist constantly. I’ll miss every aspect of our time at school. I’m so grateful for Admissions and all the people I’ve gotten to know through that amazing experience. I’m so so grateful for all the people in my classes, skate club, summer scholars, friends I’ve roomed with and the unofficial “‘Lost’ Watch Party Club”. I’m so grateful for everyone that I’ve spent hours talking to in the animation labs. I’m grateful for all of my professors and how much they’ve taught me, both academically and character building wise. I’m grateful for Mason, Rylee and Ruth. What a blessing being in Nashville with you all has been. I love you guys and will miss you as my neighbors! I’m grateful for my Parents and Lydia, Josiah, and Elliot, I’m so excited for this new chapter of life with you all and so grateful for all of your support! I couldn’t list everyone by name that I’m grateful for, so please please know that I really am grateful for you. Above all, I’m grateful for a loving and merciful God. There is nothing that gives my constantly racing mind more comfort and ease than knowing he’s in control. What a blessing to have gone to a school that glorifies God above all. Lipscomb is a fantastic school.

The video I shared is me finding out I could go to Lipscomb. Whenever I’d get down or frustrated while at school, I’d remember how much it meant to me to be able to go here. It still does mean so much to me that I’ve had this opportunity and it’s never been lost on me how much of a blessing this school has been.

If you see me this week feel free to say goodbye! I’ll be in Nashville again sometime soon though, and for sure for Animation Y’all! by @themaxwelltay

Quick sketch I did before heading out for Thanksgiving! Tried out some fun new brushes and really enjoyed playing around with them! by @themaxwelltay
