On any typical walk throughout the streets of most small towns in Mexico you stumble upon many street dogs, most of them abandoned or just happen to have grown up on the streets.
I usually see them roaming around and can’t help but to feel saddened wishing I could adopt all puppies I see throughout my walks in town.
Most people ignore and turn away from having any sort of interaction with them but I find that really hard to do, so I’ve photographed a few dogs that I’ve had interactions with such as a pat on the head or small caress on their backs.
To this day I’ve yet to come across a street dog that has been aggressive.
I think we have a broad misconception in Mexico that street dogs are unadoptable and or aggressive. So this series of photographs is to shatter that stereotype, as well as to show how street dogs deserve just as much love as any household pet.
All of these photographs were taken with a 35mm or 50mm lens with a #sonya7ⅲ
