The plaque in the photo above means so much to me. My sister gave it as a birthday gift earlier this year, and today, the words become truth. Umbra surprised me in the best way. I wrote it for me. For my friends. To see if I could. Nothing more.

But there will definitely be a before and after when it comes to Umbra. This book has changed my life, and I hope in some small way, it can change yours. If in nothing else, provide you an escape for a little while, and a delicious adventure along the way. Books are portals— to other worlds, people we’ll never meet, to truths and ideas.
