John 10:27-29, Luke 15:4-5, Romans 5:8 On this autumn afternoon, I wonder What manner of love I receive Remains evergreen through seasons Constant night & day, it clings to me Through thick and thin, fat and fit, I am wanted: chased after like the most prized element (but on the contrary, I am the most filthy rag Smelling and decaying with rot as my lot). Now, my lot has been changed: No longer do I wear rags red but robes radiant in white in spite of my feelings. I don’t always feel loved; on some days I want to elope and leave the herd, roam Free in the wilderness, unbothered & free But I can run no farther than my leash’s length And then I snap back to my senses: Freedom is found in followership. This I know. This I know but why do I want to stray? Why does my flesh eat into my desires & break my will: on such days, I don’t feel loved Because who will love a frequent rule breaker? Who will love a sheep that relishes the mud and stains his white wool? O the love that I receive Welcomes me back from the dirt Feet tired of running from wolves, massaged Never rejected as long as I wear His Brand, His Name be the anchor that keeps my feet from wandering ever again. by @themedicalpoet

Happy New Month! I have been stuck on Psalm 1 for the past 2 weeks, and I will be exploring what it means to walk in the Way. I pray the LORD gives us the strength to walk in His Way this month, Amen! by @themedicalpoet
