Theme: Cosmic Events- Part 3 I captured a Galaxy… on a Galaxy! 🌌📱😄 It still blows my mind that we’ve reached a point where you can look up at the night sky, point your phone at the Milky Way, and actually bring a piece of it home. ✨ My Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Expert RAW app have been such a fun little duo for nights like this — turning a crazy idea into an actual photograph. And honestly, seeing what’s possible with something that fits in my pocket has been fueling my creative side more than I expected. 😋🌌 @samsungcanada #teamsamsung #withGalaxy #samsunggalaxys26ultra #astrophotography #samsungphoto @samsungwithgalaxy @samsungphotographyskills taken in Ontario, Canada by @themesoflight

Theme: Cosmic Moments - Part 2 Sometimes your gear surprises you so much that you start loving it even more and feel genuinely grateful that you brought it along 😂 This is exactly what happened during the night I was photographing the Perseids meteor shower. I was busy framing everything with my camera and other equipment, while I had my Insta360 capturing a starlapse in the background with very little expectation that I’d actually get anything useful out of it. 🤣 And then I saw what it captured… and it completely blew my mind! 😲 The gadget I had basically brought along as a “let’s see what happens” camera ended up becoming the star of the night. 😂🌌 Yes, I carry A LOT of gadgets with me to capture things from different angles and perspectives. At the time, it feels like a great idea. Then halfway through shooting, I’m juggling cameras, lenses and gadgets and thinking, “Why the hell did I bring all this stuff?” 🤣 Every time, I tell myself I’m going to carry less gear next time. And then something like this happens… So I’m glad I left my Insta360 in the bag that night. 😂 Sometimes the extra gadget you almost leave at home ends up giving you your favourite shot. 🌌✨ #insta360 #insta360x5 #starlapse #startrails #astrophotography taken in Ontario, Canada by @themesoflight

Theme: Cosmic Moments - Part 1 The partial lunar eclipse from last night! 🌙🤓 One of my favourite things about capturing moments like this isn’t just the photograph itself — it’s being able to share the experience with people around me. There are always a few curious faces watching the sky, fascinated by what’s happening but without the equipment to really see it up close. I love turning my camera around, showing them what I’m seeing through the lens, and watching that moment of surprise when they realise just how much detail is actually up there. ✨ Some of my favourite conversations have started exactly this way while doing astrophotography — complete strangers brought together by a shared curiosity about the sky. Here’s to more nights under the stars, more unexpected conversations, and hopefully many more moments worth capturing. 🌌🙂 #lunareclipse #moonmagic #lunareclipse2026 #astrophotography #sony200600 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @themesoflight

Theme: Brooklyn -> Manhattan - Part 2 Somewhere between Brooklyn and Manhattan, the city finds its frame 🌃 The Brooklyn Bridge ropes lining up with the glowing skyline, with the World Trade Center standing tall in the middle of it all. A view that makes you pause for a second and just take it in Sometimes, you don’t need to look for the shot — you just need to notice the frame 🤓🌉 Shot on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra📱✨ #teamsamsung #samsunggalaxys25ultra #withGalaxy #newyorkcity #ig_nyc @samsungcanada @samsungwithgalaxy @samsungphotographyskills taken in Brooklyn Bridge, New York City by @themesoflight

Theme: Ivory Wings - Part 3 Two birds. Two personalities. One unforgettable place. 🤍 I came across both this Caspian Tern and this graceful Swan during my visit to Point Pelee, and they couldn't have been more different. One ruled the skies with speed and precision, while the other glided effortlessly across the water as if time had slowed down 👀 Sometimes nature reminds us that beauty isn't always about chasing the rarest sighting—it's about appreciating every moment it offers ☺️ #caspiantern #swan #birdingdaily #pointpelee #ontariobirds taken in Point Pelee National Park by @themesoflight

Theme: Ivory Wings - Part 2 Some dreams arrive on silent wings 🤍 Photographing a Snowy Owl had been at the top of my wildlife photography bucket list for as long as I can remember. This winter, that dream finally came true near Toronto Pearson Airport. It was one of those bitterly cold days where I could barely keep my hands out of my gloves for more than five minutes before they went numb. But every frozen finger was worth it the moment this majestic bird appeared. Some photos take skill. Some take patience. And some simply require you to wait years for nature to say, "Today's your day." #snowyowl #birdingdaily #torontopearson #birdsofinstagram taken in Toronto, Ontario by @themesoflight

Theme: Ivory Wings - Part 1 POV: You accidentally meet Ontario's newest celebrity 😎 This bird had the entire photography community at a 'certain' park in Ontario in a frenzy. And before anyone asks... no, I wasn't that photographer. 😅 I didn't sneak up on it or invade its space. I was just sitting there when it casually flew over and landed a few feet away—as if it had booked its own photoshoot. It looks suspiciously like a white chicken with premium makeup (check out that red eyebrow), but it's actually a Willow Ptarmigan—a hardy Arctic bird that rarely makes appearances this far south! #wildlifephotography #tommythompsonpark #torontobirds #ptarmigan #birdingdaily taken in Ontario, Canada by @themesoflight

Theme: Refracted Reality - Part 2 In a place where thousands of stories cross paths every day, I wanted to tell one from a different perspective. The rush, the architecture, the light, the history—everything was already beautiful. But through a crystal sphere, Grand Central became its own universe, where every traveler, every column, and every beam of light was turned upside down, reminding me that the best compositions are often hidden in plain sight. Sometimes, all it takes is looking at the world differently 🙃 #newyorkcity #grandcentral #nycgo #ig_nyc #newyorkstateofmind taken in Grand Central Terminal by @themesoflight

Theme: Refracted Reality - Part 1 A world turned upside down, where waves become skies and the horizon exists in two places at once.
