Great news! Two of South Florida's premier real estate development groups, Terra and Turnberry, have selected Balfour Beatty US as the general contractor for the new Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel. Located at the intersection of 17th Street and Convention Center Drive, the 17-story, 800-room hotel will serve as the central anchor of the Miami Beach Convention Center District, steps away from the beachfront, hundreds of shops and restaurants along Lincoln Road, the New World Center, the Bass Museum, and the Fillmore Miami Beach.

The Grand Hyatt Miami Beach will include:

800 rooms (including 52 suites)
90,000 square feet of indoor meeting/conference space, plus 10,000 square feet outdoors
5 food and beverage outlets, including a signature restaurant that is already leased
2 pools and a gym
A Grand Hyatt club lounge
320 parking spaces
The building will be connected to the Miami Beach Convention Center.

For the first time, the Miami Beach Convention Center is hosting Sibos, bringing the global financial community together in Miami Beach from September 28–October 1.

Organized by Swift, Sibos is one of the world’s leading financial services conferences, connecting approximately 10,000 delegates from more than 160 countries with 500+ speakers, 180+ exhibitors, and 70+ sponsors.

Over the next four days, attendees will connect and exchange ideas on key topics shaping the industry, including payments, AI, digital assets, cybersecurity, capital markets, technology, and cross-border finance.

♻️ Supporting Our Community Through Food Recovery

Last week, our partners at Sodexo Live! donated 38 trays of prepared food from the Miami Beach Convention Center to Nourish Miami.

The food was distributed to Four Freedoms House in Miami Beach, providing 75 meals for low-income residents, with an additional 100 lbs. donated to individuals experiencing homelessness and Liberty City residents through the Village (Freed)ge.

Thank you to Commissioner Tanya Bhatt, Chef Ismael Lasalle and his kitchen staff, Sara Murillo Tejada, Nourish Miami, Four Freedoms House, and Sodexo Live! for helping make this donation possible.
