I was so sick of trying all the creams, serums, balms, etc etc. Medical grade… to organic… to DIY… all the things just seemed like such a waste of money.

Rosacea was painful for me- especially during a flare.
And let’s not talk about the embarrassment of going in public as a grown woman with a red face. 😑 it was so humiliating. Full coverage makeup helped my confidence but was also not helping my skin.

I learned the skin has a lipid layer and its own microbiome. 🤯 so I began healing it AND healing my gut!

But for real!! I can’t stop laughing at myself!!!
It’s not too often I’m dressed for the Gram- so let’s shed light on my real life!
To be honest- yes! Sometimes I absolutely put on the dress 👗 and apron for my chores and domestic duties- including gardening.🪴👩🏼‍🌾🌻🌿🌱
But 85% of the time this is how you’d find me! Shirt and shorts and my muck boots from @sperry. There’s always outside work to be done and I feel like my chickens and garden could careless what I look like but RATHER how I treat them! 💕 🐓 🍁

Do you wear dresses for chores and farm work?

I want to own more dresses that fit my personality and wear them doing the simple everyday things, however, I don’t yet! I have a feeling some thrifting is in my near future! Ya feel me?!

In nature and at PetSmart, she is the little animal whisperer!! The chameleon nearly came home with us!!
We are raising the Eastern Tent caterpillars we found in our yard in the butterfly enclosure- stay tuned to see the type of moth they become! by @themichellesherman

Two weeks ago we went hiking in my old stomping grounds at Panther Creek. Thought we would see the waterfalls, but time and the status of the trail on the last mile was kinda sketchy (damage sustained from Helene). But, we had a really great time! Went on a side trail to large rock sitting area with a waterfall… also where I slipped and busted my booty. Ugh 😑 The children are catching on to trail etiquette. Love teaching them what I learned as a child from my dad Michael Kohr and Bob Loder! It’s all coming around full circle!

After the hike, we visited Bampa (my dad) and they got to ride on his tricycle lol by @themichellesherman

We had a fantastic butterfly unit study and raised Painted Lady Butterflies from caterpillars to butterflies. Released them yesterday and it was bittersweet. (Still have some insects to learn about)

Teaching art is not my strong suit…. Like I can teach basics and some of the history, but the how-to and drawing… I’ll leave that to the pros. Art Hub Kids on YouTube is awesome and I highly recommend!! Hundreds of easy to follow videos. The children always love art days and find so much confidence in their ‘independent’ work!
