Pumpkin Spice, Sports Recaps, and NFL Insights

Join Mickle as he dives into the latest sports highlights and seasonal rants.

Mickle Moore kicks off this episode with his signature energy, inviting listeners to buckle up as he navigates through the weekend's chaos.

The Pumpkin Spice Dilemma

Mickle takes a moment to voice his annual grievance about the pumpkin spice phenomenon.

"When did society decide that everything needs to taste like a scented candle?"
He challenges listeners to resist the onslaught of pumpkin spice flavors, from coffee to beard oil, asserting that these are merely chemical concoctions masquerading as autumn cheer.

Football Highlights and Hot Takes

Transitioning into the sports realm, Mickle shares his thoughts on the latest football games, including a notable dip in his rankings for the Oregon Ducks after a disappointing performance.

He passionately discusses the NFL matchups, highlighting the surprising talents emerging from teams like the Arizona Cardinals and the Chicago Bears.

"The league might be in trouble for years to come with the Bears' new talent."

US Open and Other Sporting Events

Mickle also touches on the recent US Open results, noting that both men's and women's champions are first-timers this year. He celebrates Elena Rybakina's victory, which came after defeating three former champions.

NFL Week One Recap

In a week one recap, Mickle expresses a mix of optimism and skepticism about various teams. He acknowledges the impressive performances from the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants while lamenting the struggles of the Los Angeles teams.

With a light-hearted tone, Mickle wraps up by encouraging his listeners to stay safe and hydrated, reminding them of the upcoming PPA tour stop in Arizona.

As always, Mickle’s insights provide a mix of humor and knowledge that keeps listeners engaged and eager for more.

# Football Friday: Your Weekend Picks for College and NFL Matchups

Dive into the latest picks and insights for a thrilling football weekend.

Get ready to tap those feet and snap those fingers because it's football season! Welcome to another edition of the Mickle Pod, where we dive into the chaos and excitement of the weekend's football matchups.

College Football Sixer:

We kick things off with some crucial college matchups. This weekend, we’ll see top teams face off, and it’s bound to be a spectacle worthy of a true football fan's attention.

Mickle discusses the showdown between Oklahoma and Michigan. With the Sooners heading into Ann Arbor, he notes that Michigan needs to be worried about their quarterback Underwood, who simply cannot be the leading rusher again. Mickle predicts the Sooners will cover the spread: *“Sooners eat the four and a half. This could be a boat race, folks.”*

Then there’s the Ohio State vs. Texas game, where Mickle says, *“Sark needs to come through in the big game.”* Will the Buckeyes manage to pull off a win against a loaded Longhorns team? It’s a matchup to watch closely.

Switching gears to the NFL, Mickle’s got his eye on some spicy picks. He highlights the Bengals as a strong contender this season, especially if Burrow stays healthy.

As for the Ravens and Colts game, he suggests betting on the Colts' money line: *“Colts, money line it.”* And he doesn’t shy away from making bold predictions about the Lions too: *“Lions eat the seven.”*

A Weekend to Remember
As we gear up for a weekend full of high-stakes drama and nail-biting finishes, remember to make those glorious decisions wisely.

Mickle also takes a moment to reflect on the significance of this weekend, especially as we remember September 11th. “Huge thanks to all our first responders... True heroes.”

Stay hydrated, enjoy the games, and see you next time for more insights and predictions!
