Culture isn’t just something nice to have—it’s the heart of any great workplace.

I have had the honor of experiencing this for the last 19+ years serving in the world’s greatest Air Force!

From office environments to deployments in far away foreign countries, it all starts with the leaders at the top!

Military organizations aren’t that different than corporate America, we just measure success differently.

Here’s what I value most in a work environment and how I believe leaders can create it:

I value a workplace where everyone feels heard.

Open communication and the freedom to share ideas without judgment build trust and teamwork.

Growth matters to me.

Whether it’s learning new skills or taking on challenges, I believe a workplace should help people move forward in their careers and lives.

Work shouldn’t take over life. I value workplaces that respect time off, encourage balance, and prioritize well-being.

It’s not just good for employees—it’s good for business too.

Military taught me this: process protects you when emotions run high.

When stress hits and frustration rises, it’s easy to react the wrong way.

The key is to pause, think, and follow the steps you know work.

Emotions pass, but smart decisions made with a clear process last.

Always let your process lead, not your feelings.

Trust the process 🙏🏽

11 years ago, we took a major leap of faith.

It was uncomfortable. Scary. Risky. And an opportunity, all at the same time.

Most times, you have to go through change and the unknown to get to your greatest. That's how you build something great.

I had no idea that buying our first true investment property to flip would plant the seeds for a transformational journey: entrepreneurship, investing, coaching others, legacy, financial advising.

I told a friend yesterday that I had eight real estate conversations this week, some in person, some on Zoom.

It was a blessing to look back on the journey and realize I'm now in a position to bless others with clarity around real estate and their investments.

I never imagined I'd be the Christian man, husband, father, brother, son, leader, friend, investor, business owner, and author that I am today. But it all started with a decision.

Your legacy will require you to take action.

Be disciplined. Get up early. Go to bed late sometimes.

Pay a premium, because it's never on discount.

What will you do? The path is lonely, because there are plenty of exits and off ramps designed to distract you and alter your journey.

Sometimes you have to walk straight through adversity, through the valley of the shadow of death, knowing the Lord is with you.

There were seasons I didn't understand the journey or the destination.

But I made the decision to keep walking. You adapt, you adjust, and eventually you become.

Don't quit. Don't stop. The legacy is greater than you, so don't quit and don't fret. The pain is refining you, and your legacy will live forever.

What does your life need to look like in five years.

Then and only then do we talk about strategy.

A contractor does not pour the foundation before reading the plans.
