Yonsei Dairy Melon Flavored Drink. I love this one the most because it’s not too sweet- definitely less sweet than the classic Binggrae melon milk. It’s light and refreshing, but the milk itself tastes rich and fresh. So glad to have found it again in Los Angeles, after tasting it in Taiwan for the first time last year. What I want to know is: why couldn’t I find it anywhere in Korea itself? 5 stars! #mbp_fruitmilk by @themilkboxpost

T. Grand Assam Salt & Walnut Milk Tea. So far this is my favorite beverage in Korea- and it’s from Taiwan. (Interestingly, my favorite in Taiwan was from Korea.) It tastes like a nutty, slightly salted chocolate milk. 5 stars #mbp_milktea #mbp_5stars by @themilkboxpost

Sanagaria Pudding Jelly Drink. Well, I did not expect this to be so… chunky. I clearly did not translate the label before drinking, because it was seriously *thicc* to the point where I had trouble getting it out of the opening in the can. (With hindsight: the can says “a fun to shake delicious drink, shake at least 5 times!”) Texture aside, it tasted distinctly like butterscotch, which is not a favorite of mine; I was hoping it would lean more towards a custard flavor. From my experience, this was a 1.5, but perhaps if served correctly, it could earn 2 stars. #mbp_caramelmilk by @themilkboxpost

Amul Kool Koko. Tastes like chocolate pudding from a box, with a slight metallic aftertaste. Would have been better cold, but we were on a long train ride between Jodhpur and Jaipur without refrigeration. 2.5 stars #mbp_chocolatemilk by @themilkboxpost

Amul Rose Lassi. Tastes just like a rose lassi should, but with a little bit of a bitter aftertaste. Made with milk, sugar, active cultures and rose flavoring, plus a stabilizer. 3.5 stars by @themilkboxpost

SMOODH Toffee Caramel Flavoured Milk. Yum! Tastes buttery, custardy, and not as sweet as expected. A hint of burnt/real caramelization, umami. Would drink again! 4 stars #mbp_caramelmilk by @themilkboxpost

Amul Masti Spiced Buttermilk. This was great. It has very few ingredients- mainly buttermilk, spices and salt. It tastes like a chaas drink you would get at a cafe here- savory, mildly salty, tart and heavy on the cumin. 4.5 stars #mbp_savory by @themilkboxpost

Amul Tru Fruit Nutrition Apple Dairy-Based Drink. This contains real apples but it still tastes a bit artificial, and not in a “sour apple” way. Quite sweet, definitely not a favorite. 1 star #mbp_fruitmilk by @themilkboxpost

SMOODH Chocolate Flavored Milk. First of all, this is the tiniest, cutest box of milk I have *ever* seen. It contains 80 ml of milk, and the carton is smaller than a credit card (see second photo. It cost 10 rupees, which is the equivalent of about ten cents, and tastes just okay. It’s very cocoa-forward, with a bit of that “hot chocolate mix” flavor, but leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste that I don’t love. Points for packaging, but otherwise I’d give it 2 stars. #mbp_chocolatemilk by @themilkboxpost

Rosa Brothers Root Beer Float Milk. I was surprised to find root beer flavored milk at my local grocery store! When I was a kid, my mom would occasionally buy what we called “brown cow,” which was essentially the same. Rosa Brothers has always made the classic chocolate and strawberry milks, but apparently they now have orange cream, banana, vanilla, and horchata flavors in addition to root beer. I couldn’t quite bring myself to try the orange, and you know how I feel about banana milk, so I got the root beer to try. It is quite thick (it contains carrageenan), and tastes distinctly like root beer, with a prominent wintergreen flavor that lingers. I am not sure I like it but it’s not awful? 2 stars. by @themilkboxpost

Binggrae Clear Sky Bellflower Tea. This contains barley and it mainly tastes like boricha, but there’s a hint of something different- maybe kind of vegetal or even smoky? It was very refreshing but not noteworthy. 2 stars #mbp_tea by @themilkboxpost
