Therapy Insight 🌱

A glimpse into the conversations behind closed doors.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, join us every Saturday at The Mind Garden as we explore the everyday struggles, difficult emotions, and little moments that find their way into therapy.

Sometimes, being heard is where it all begins. 💚

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.❤️

At The Mind Garden, we believe healing begins when you feel seen, heard, and understood. Meet the therapists who are committed to supporting you through life’s challenges with warmth, expertise, and care.

Because growth isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about coming home to yourself. 💚🌱

Your therapist isn’t a mind reader, but they’re pretty good at spotting the plot holes. 👀

Sometimes, a moment in the present brings back feelings we’ve carried since childhood. The fear of disappointing someone, the anger, or that familiar feeling of being small. Even when the person in front of us is different, the feeling can be remarkably old.

A little glimpse into the conversations that happen in therapy. 🤍

Every therapist has a little therapist energy outside the therapy room too 👀🧠💭

We asked our therapists: what’s the most therapist thing about you? 🌱💚

Ever feel like there are a thousand tabs open in your mind, making it hard to be present, even in moments you’d usually enjoy? 💭

Sometimes, feeling unlike yourself is the first thing you notice, even when you can’t quite explain why.

You don’t always have to seek therapy with a solution in mind. Sometimes, you just want to understand what’s going on. And that’s a place to begin. 🌱

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar. You might not know what to say or where to begin, and that’s okay.

You don’t need all the answers. Sometimes, therapy begins with simply acknowledging that you haven’t been feeling like yourself lately.

You don’t need to know where to start. You just need a place to start🤍

A little rewind to World Mental Health Day, and some thoughts worth sitting with. 🌿🤍

Our very own Sanah Arora, panelist at the @sadaysadev Asterisks shares a perspective that stays with us: mental health is not just about diagnoses. It’s also about the lived experiences, social realities, and everyday struggles that often go unheard.

From trauma and motherhood to chronic pain and the systems we live in, there’s so much more to our stories than a label can capture.

Here’s to listening a little closer, asking better questions, and making space for more voices. 🌷

If being cared for makes you uncomfortable, there’s usually a reason for it.

As therapists, we often meet people who’re very good at looking after everyone else but find it hard to let anyone look after them.

That’s a pattern you learned for a reason and it can be unlearned gently, at your own pace.

If this feels familiar, you’re welcome to reach out.

Understanding others shouldn’t mean constantly questioning yourself.

If you find yourself over-explaining someone’s behaviour while dismissing your own feelings, therapy can be a space to explore that pattern.🌻

Sanah, our Counselling Psychologist at The Mind Garden, is currently offering low-cost therapy.

Register through the link in our bio.
