When we have choices, we grow.
When we have open doors, we go.
When we come together, we rise.

Get Ready Fest® 2026 was six basketball courts full of choices, smiling faces and open doors to new places.

Resources, tools, support and services, all brought together under one roof, so youth and families in Philadelphia, PA, know there is an ecosystem behind them.

There were volunteers in purple shirts to welcome them and show them the way. There were partners with open arms and answers to their questions. There were sponsors who said, “Yes!” because they care more than words can say.

The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation celebrates YOU all because we can’t do it alone. It’s all of you who see our bold goal and want the next generation to live it. What you give to others will help make our bold goal to empower 1 million youth and young adults a reality.

Recently @themjfoundation held our 16th Get Ready Fest®– our sixth in Philadelphia. We first brought the event to the city in 2014, the year I signed with the @philadelphiaeagles. Every time we return, it reminds me why this is one of the most compelling things my foundation does.

Former Eagles player @malcolmjenkins may have retired from football, but a piece of his heart remains in Philadelphia. @themjfoundation teamed up with Jefferson and organizations across the city for Get Ready Fest®. The annual event provides 800 local families with food, healthcare, employment resources, and trusted social service connections in one place. For Jefferson, it was more than a one-day event. A family walks into Get Ready Fest® and sees a pop-up grocery market.

They look around. They take their time. They choose what their household needs, and decide what goes home with them — they way anyone would, anywhere else.

That choice matters.

Food is foundational. It gives families the ability to prepare meals, gather around the table, and make it through the days ahead. But how we provide that food matters, too. Support should always preserve care and provide the opportunity to choose.

This month, Get Ready Fest® 2026 is bringing the market directly to families, giving them the freedom to select the foods that work best for their households.
