It’s been one year without you, Daddy… and somehow, the world still expects life to feel normal.

I read through our last conversations today, and I paused at the part where you said, *“I miss your food.”* That simple sentence broke me all over again. Because I didn’t just lose a father… I lost a safe place, a source of warmth, a man who saw me even in the smallest things.

You always spoke with so much faith — *“God will place everything right.”* I’ve held onto those words, even on the days when everything feels like it’s falling apart. You believed in growth, in responsibility, in facing life head-on… but Daddy, no one prepared me for facing life without you.

What hurts even more is this: the very people you trusted, the ones you believed would protect and continue your legacy, are now the ones tearing it down piece by piece. The same hands you held up are now working against everything you stood for. It’s painful to watch.

And your wife… your partner… the woman you shared your life with… is being made to suffer for no reason. Stripped of peace, of dignity, of what is rightfully hers. It’s unfair. It’s cruel. And it’s nothing like the life you worked so hard to build.

If you could see it, I know it would break your heart.

But even in all of this, I choose to remember you for who you truly were — a man of strength, faith, and love. A man who taught me that growth sometimes comes with pain, but also with purpose.

I miss you every single day.
I miss cooking for you.
I miss your voice.
I miss your presence.

And no matter what is happening now, I promise you this: your legacy will not be buried in silence. Your truth will not be forgotten.

May 2nd, 2025 — the day everything shifted.
I lost my dad, and with him, a part of myself.

Some days I look okay on the outside, like in this photo… calm, glowing, composed.
But inside, I’m still learning how to carry this kind of love and pain at the same time.

Grief doesn’t ask for permission — it just lives with you.
Quietly. Loudly. Randomly.

If you’re grieving too, I hope you know there’s no “right” way to feel.
