Throwback to spring 2024 — when @fiumani_ landed in Los Angeles for a one-month mission, stepping into his California debut with the Gasolene x Los Angeles solo show.
LA opened its doors wide: Sunset Boulevard as our dreamy front porch, @joeregan turning into a lifelong friend, tour guide and collaborator on a large-scale piece with Fiumani..
Opening day was no less special — @officialrobbykrieger took it all in and walked away with two of Fiumani’s works.
@ruimajor_ was there as the hand behind the setup, the eye for artistic direction, and the drive in production — all together with Filippo, embodying @themoblob ’s purpose of meaningful missions and values.
Here’s the trailer documentary (shot and edited by Rui Major) capturing the residency and all the process behind it. taken in 8912 by @themoblob

Sometimes, Mobster Lobster has the privilege of following artists.
Not just to capture the show — but what comes before it, what vibrates before the sound fills the room.
The shared glances, the breaths, the nerves, the quiet before the energy.
It’s in those intervals that the true essence, the fragility, and the strength of those who create are revealed.

This moment with @totrips at @fmm_sines Festival Músicas do Mundo with @clubmakumba is one of those fragments.
A glimpse of everything that happens while the magic is still warming up —
before the stage, before the crowd, before the noise.

Before the walls were filled, before the light had a place to rest — we digged into our imagination looking for what feeling this space could hold.
Hands, clay, sound.
A slow rhythm.
The weight of touch shaping silence into form.
Disco Wheel @disco.wheel was still an idea —
so we built it with light,
with movement,
with what we thought it would someday become.
A film about presence,
and the quiet beauty of making something together.

In February 2025, Mobster Lobster was privileged to documenting an inspiring three-month residency at Palácio dos Anjos, where Francisco Vidal @francisco.vidal.777 —an artist celebrated for intertwining Cubist influences, African textile motifs, and the pulse of 1980s hip-hop—collaborated with Rui Major @ruimajor_ .
Critics have noted Vidal’s work as a vibrant dialogue with colonial histories and contemporary identity, placing him among the key voices redefining Lusophone art.
This short loop captures the inception and the right beginning of that creative process—a testament to Vidal’s intellectually layered and culturally resonant artistry that he so brilliantly brought to life.
Francisco Vidal is not just a unique intellectual and mentor in the art scene; he is unquestionably writing a legacy that will inspire generations to come. taken in Palácio Anjos by @themoblob
