Meet Your Therapist 🤎

Not every therapist is meant for you.
And you’re not meant to settle for just anyone.

The Perfect Match is your opportunity to experience real, face-to-face conversations with licensed therapists — before committing, before the intake paperwork, before the awkward first session.

Think speed dating… but for your healing.

In one evening, you’ll connect with therapists specializing in:

• Anxiety & depression
• Attachment wounds
• Trauma & EMDR
• High-achiever burnout
• Relationship challenges
• Life transitions
• Nervous system regulation
• Healing for women navigating complex identities

Different approaches.
Different personalities.
Different specialties.

Because healing is personal.

✨ Curated.
✨ Intentional.
✨ Limited to 40 women.
✨ Lounge wear in nude, cream, or chocolate.

This isn’t just an event.
It’s a soft introduction to the support you’ve been telling yourself you need.

Houston, we might need to run this one back because The Art of Democracy was the moment!

The art was incredible.
The conversation was necessary.
And the people are beautiful. 🖤

We brought Houston’s Black creative community together for a night of art, culture, and civic engagement.

We’ve always been the architects of cool. We challenge power to make room for our stories, and we tell them on our own terms.

The Art of Democracy was a celebration of that freedom and a reminder of everything it took to get here. And none of it should be taken for granted.

Much love to our featured panelist Larenz Tate, honorary host Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and the phenomenal artists and performers who made this night so special.

Our culture has always moved the world. Our collective power can shape its future.

November 3. Make your voice heard. 🗳️

And if you missed this one, make sure you’re following @fightfordemocracyus. You don’t want to miss what’s next.

Almost ten years ago, @mochajolie and I were colleagues at Planned Parenthood. Who would have imagined that nearly a decade later, we’d be collaborating to bring Black art, culture, community, and conversations about democracy into one beautiful space? 🖤

Life has a beautiful way of bringing people back into our stories for chapters we never saw coming.

This past Thursday, I had the privilege of helping bring The Art of Democracy to life, and it reminded me why I fell in love with creating experiences in the first place.

For me, it’s never just about how a room looks. It’s about what happens when people walk into it. The stories shared, the connections made, and the moments that live beyond a single evening.

And what a beautiful evening it was!

@mochajolie, congratulations on your curatorial debut! I’m so proud of you and grateful you trusted me to help bring your vision to life. Your passion for art and telling stories through it is remarkable! In awe of you!

To Meredith, Trey, and @fightfordemocracyus, thank you for believing in the power of art and community.

@helloerikagibson, @mont_franklin every time we create together, I’m reminded of how special it is to work with people who just GET IT!

To our incredibly gifted artists @mathieuartsoul, @suberanthony, @marcfuri, @mikwill92, @txhaitianartist, @ofilidesigns, @ramajay_artistry, and @ccthecurator, thank you for sharing your stories through your art.

To our panelists, moderator, and @richellegemini, thank you for using your voices to make the evening even more meaningful.

@durrellkdouglas you belong on stages across the world!

Our talented vendors, singer @jessica_forest , bartenders @spectrumbartending thank you for bringing every detail to life. From the florals and furnishings to the graphics and installations, your gifts made this experience beautiful.

And @blackhoustoncreatives, thank you for coming in at the 9th hour to connect us with your influencer community.

To everyone who attended, thank you for showing up and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

November 3rd go 🗳️ VOTE by @themoderndayqueen

Houston, you showed up for The Art of Democracy! An unforgettable evening celebrating Black artistry, creative expression, and the power of our collective voices.

From powerful works of art and meaningful conversations to inspiring performances, the evening reminded us that art does more than tell our stories. It connects us, challenges perspectives, and inspires action.

Thank you to our featured guest, Larenz Tate; honorary host, Commissioner Rodney Ellis; talented artists; panelists; special guests; community partners; and everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

Here’s a first look at The Art of Democracy. More moments to come!

Our voices matter. Our votes matter. Our future matters.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Make your voice heard. by @themoderndayqueen

Apparently, Walmart brought a whole bunch of new friends to my page, so I guess I should introduce myself! 😂💕

Hiiii!!! 👋🏾 I’m Roneshia, but most people call me Ro!

By day, I work in Marketing & Communications, helping brands and founders bring big ideas to life. Outside of that? Clearly, I love a good outfit! 😂

I’m a Houston girl through and through, by way of Mo City! I love Jesus, good food, travel, museums, and beautiful things. And I believe life is too short to save your good clothes for a special occasion!

Fashion has always been a love letter to my younger self. Growing up, I admired beautiful things I didn’t always have access to. Fashion became my space to dream, create, and express myself without limitations. And honestly, it still is. 💕

That’s why I love mixing high and low. Style has never been about how much something costs, but what you do with it! A little designer, a little Walmart, baby, if it’s cute, it’s cute! 😂

My faith is my foundation, and around here you’ll get a little fashion, faith, career, and whatever else life brings.

I’m equal parts corporate girlie, creative, and probably overdressed for the occasion. I’ve never been just one thing, and I don’t plan on starting now!

To my day ones, thank you for being here. And to my new friends, WELCOME! 💕

Now that I’ve told y’all my business, tell me some of yours! Did Walmart bring you here, or have we been friends for a while? 😂👇🏾

I’ll also link my outfit in my stories bc that’s what good influencers do, they share links lol! by @themoderndayqueen

At this point I’ve worn @walmart all week long at work. Jeans and Blazer are from The Scoop Collection at Walmart! Blazer is on sale now in black and brown! Comment Shop and I’ll send you the link.

Walmart has done it AGAIN! 😍 And this time for under $25! Y’all know I love a good find that looks more expensive than it is, and this one did not disappoint!

Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the link! 🛍️

Y’all know I love a good wardrobe find, especially when I can make it work from the office to the weekend! 🤎

A good white button-down will forever have my heart, and the denim? Yeah, we needed those too! 😂

I linked the pieces so you don’t have to go looking!

Comment “SHOP” and I’ll send the links straight to your DMs! 🛍️

Every Girl Deserves Their Sex in City Moment, this was mine. 🤍🤍 by @themoderndayqueen

I’m still sitting with how special this was. 🤎

“Your Closet Has Receipts: What Does Your Style Say About Your Story?” started as an idea and became one of the most affirming moments of my @culturecon weekend.

I’m incredibly grateful to every person who opened the app, chose my Braindate, and entrusted me with their time. We talked style, identity, confidence, the formulas we naturally create in our closets, and the stories our clothes tell before we ever say a word. And what made it so good was how openly everyone shared, laughed, reflected, and poured into one another. And thank you all for using the app I created to do so.

There’s something full circle about loving fashion from a place where access wasn’t always available to me, and now getting to create spaces that help other people feel confident in what they already have and who they’re becoming.

I think my younger self would be really proud.

Maybe my whole life is a receipt of God’s patience with me and His ability to take what felt small and turn it into something so much bigger.

Grateful for the room. Grateful for the people. Grateful I asked. Grateful.
