I can't remember if it was @singleandamazing or @lisasvoiceworks (almost certain it was Lisa, but both women are AMAZING) who said/wrote one of the most profound things I've EVER heard ... that usually single parents are simultaneously raising their child(ren) WHILE healing from whatever made them single!

This picture is from the day of my divorce hearing (via Zoom 🤦🏾‍♀️👎🏾 Thanks covid/pandemic!). One of the things I hoped most not to be is one of the things where I now hope most to be successful! I don't get super personal on social media, but on this Single Parent Appreciation Day, I just wanted to share a picture of me with my favorite person after Jesus and to encourage all the single parents that we CAN do this!! by @themommashelper

My sister has a podcast!! It's great! You should listen! That's it! That's the post/caption!! by @themommashelper

Mommas, let's talk self-care! What's the last thing you did just for yourself? I'll go first...in the comments! by @themommashelper

How do I know every momma needs help? Because I am a momma to an amazing almost 8yo! I make sure that when I get home from helping mommas, my own little person knows how much I love her! So I make sure to make time! (We also video chat a lot!) #TheMommasHelper #PostpartumDoula #EveryMommaNeedsHelp by @themommashelper

I just told my camp kids that I have "mother ears" aka "I hear EVERYTHING!" Looked it up & it's a thing! Can any mommas relate? #ImAMom #TheMommasHelper #PostpartumDoula #HelpALLTheMommas by @themommashelper

One of my FAVORITE roles as a postpartum doula is "night nurse"! I LOVE when a new momma says, "I slept so well! Thank you!" It means I did my job successfully!!

I spent the last three weeks (starting the day they came home from the hospital) with these 2 sweet babies supporting their parents doing overnight shifts every other night! We got them into a great nighttime routine & their parents aren't (totally) sleep-deprived!
