Life is kind of like a holographic photo, isn’t it? 🤔🍋
Tilt it a little and suddenly, there’s more to the picture.

Same picture. Different angle. Different story.

xx,
Mimo

happy belated leo season to all!!

we may be at the tail end of the season now (and you’ll most likely see this waaay past its duration)

but I figured I’d still share some thoughts on the Leo archetype through my experience of this late july to mid-august.

despite being a Leo sun, I still find it a little hard to relate to the stereotypical traits of a Leo from time to time — bold, courageous, and with a seemingly big roar.

there is one Leo ethos, though, that feels true to my core — a desire... a need... to creatively express!

and despite knowing this, I still find myself getting confused, creating things while thinking about how my output will be received.

I get confused about what/who I am creating for? Am I creating for myself? for my audience? for my collaborators? for approval? for validation? for my sanity?

but I did come across a beautiful article by Ocean Pleasant, aka @witchykid, that helped me deepen my understanding of what the Leo archetype truly represents which I will type in the next slides!

“Before the red carpet of visibility and abundance gets rolled out, you must look your imposter story in the eye and baptize your dream in the artist’s holy water — cringe, rejection, exposure, and audacity…

Learn your lines before the curtains part. Bet on yourself before outside opinions pollute the original spark. Feed your flame before expecting it to keep others warm. Show up and do your big one without anyone cosigning your potential. Perform for an empty room with the same heart as a sold out show...

... Do that, and (Jupiter in) Leo will eagerly put you on the map. (Care too much what people think and you could be left wondering why your creations missed their mark.)”

Ocean Pleasant
An Excerpt from “Jupiter in Leo Hosroscopes” on Substack

and this soothed my fragmented Leo-core.

our creative expression is truly a process of self-discovery...

of discovering who we are when we’re doubting ourselve by @themoodymimo

🍊 BURNT ORANGE // The Spark

It started with a spark,
a little friction in the dark.
A life I built to please another,
while slowly losing touch with myself altogether.
So I let that little fire grow,
until it showed me where I needed to go.

📸 @jacksondavis13

🦋 BLUE // The Truth

Then came the blue,
when nothing quite felt true.
I felt grey, I felt cold,
I felt alone in a story I couldn’t hold.
But every winter makes way for something new,
and somewhere in the silence, I found my truth in blue.

💛 YELLOW // Lemonverse

And then the dawn broke through,
and suddenly, I could see what was true.
The orange gave me fire, the blue gave me view,
and every shade made my story more true.
Now yellow arrives, warm and bright 😌
I became brave enough to live in my own light. 🍋✨
