I spent all day drawing this then making sure it looked early cartoon vintagey enough to fit the @theweirdkidspod kidcore aesthetic lol but in honor of them reaching season 2 and how absolutely wholesome the community has been, how could I not? I’ve never been more blessed in my life than this weekend, meeting my favorite people in a community so delightfully strange. My heart absolutely breaks to leave the con and say goodbye to everyone, but these are memories I’ll cherish and never forget. As painful as it was to hug goodbye and go back to reality, I don’t regret any of it. @executivegoth , my fucking GOD, where do I even begin with you.I’m so happy you liked my costume and the clown doll and you looked amazing as always, I’m always delighted to see a fellow goth. I really did try and speak my thoughts, but that’s why I kept saying there’s a letter in the bag, because I just physically couldn’t get my shit together enough to speak more than a few sentences 💀 I don’t feel alone anymore in my mental struggles. I can see myself in someone else who just gets it instead of sympathizes. Weird Kids is a sanctuary full of misunderstood people who just want to be loved too, and that’s why I do everything in my power to stay active in that channel and do affirmations every week. You never know who needs to hear ‘I’m proud of you’ for just existing still. It’s hard out there. And with all the kindness you put into the world, you deserve it just as much, and that’s why I did all this for you. I wanted to be living proof you made a change for so many people. As much as my anxiety ate me alive through those days and I nearly chickened out 5 times, I wanted to pull through.So on behalf of me and all of the weirdos, thank you so fucking much for existing and giving us a voice.
