You can dance in a hurricane, but only if you're standing in the eye ✨ when the bad weather blues hit ATL last weekend, Kehisha & Nate leaned in to the joy of their loved ones and clear umbrellas. Congrats to the cutest couple to ever survive a hurricane on their wedding day! And big love to their vendor team who pulled it off perfectly 👌

It’s been 365 days of exploring The Moon and we are so thankful for the life we have found here (third, fourth, fifth pic)

This one is so, so special for so, so many reasons.

I grew up with Kayla….to be honest I don’t remember a life not knowing her. She was one of my older sister’s best friends and I grew up a little bit under her wing for much of my childhood. I watched her photography business soar as a young teenager and I dreamed to live the life that she had — surrounded by love, having creative freedom, working for myself, capturing life’s most precious moments, and thriving in a wedding industry that felt incredibly intimidating.

12+ years ago I planned our wedding date around Kayla’s availability and Danny and I had the honor of having her photograph our day just outside of Orlando Florida (where we were living at the time). Her first ever out-of-state wedding.

Right around our wedding I quit my job at Disney, dropped out of college (I was studying Hospitality in hopes of being in Hotel or Restaurant management), and took the leap to take my hobby photography job and transform her into a full-time commitment. Now listen, I’m well aware that every bit of this was reckless as hell, and while I don’t recommend this to everyone — there’s not a single day that has gone by where I regretted it.

Fast forward a couple of years and Danny and I felt the urge and moved from Winter Garden Florida back to Metro Atlanta (where I grew up) to start a new chapter in our adult lives together. From Kayla’s word of mouth we very quickly gained traction in the ever-saturated ATL wedding scene. We were lucky enough to have some of the absolute sweetest and beautiful couples hire us to photograph their wedding days (you know who you are!), and it truly snowballed into a dream scenario of not only feeling like we made the right choice but being overwhelmed by all of the opportunity.

Sometime around September 2019, a rainy wedding afternoon down in Serenbe we met the one & only Candace Marshall-Maddox. She just happened to be helping out another wedding planner friend that day and we immediately hit it off. (Continued in comments) taken in The Moon On Ponce by @themoononponce

Hard to describe what the first wedding felt like. Magic in a bottle? This must be the place. 💫 a 10+ year dream brought to life by hard work and the support of our community of vendors, friends, and family. The brightly shining full moon on night one was a wink that we are taking this rocket in the right direction. Can’t wait for a million more big days on The Moon.

Forever in love with and so thankful for the stars of the show, Kayla & Robby ✨ for trusting the vision, the space, and leaning in with their whole hearts. Beyond lucky to have experienced this life milestone on the same planet that was their gorgeous wedding day. Xx
