YOU VOTED… AND JAWS IS YOUR #1 AUDIENCE FAVOURITE! 🦈🏆

Tomorrow is our 5TH BIRTHDAY — and what better way to celebrate than with the film YOU voted your favourite watched at The Playhouse over the last five years! ❤️

We started with 16 films, pitted them head-to-head in a series of public votes, whittled them down to your Top 5… and there could only be one winner.

🦈 JAWS! 🏆

Steven Spielberg’s legendary 1975 shark thriller took the world by storm when it was first released. Based on Peter Benchley’s novel and featuring John Williams’ unforgettable score, it remains one of the most iconic thrillers in cinema history.

We brought Jaws back for its 50th anniversary last year and you guys absolutely LOVED it — so it’s perhaps no surprise it swam away with the top spot! 🌊🦈

And you clearly can’t wait to see it again… 100 TICKETS ARE ALREADY SOLD! We’re gonna need a bigger screen… 😉

🎂 THURSDAY 8TH OCTOBER – OUR 5TH BIRTHDAY!
🕢 7:30pm
🎟️ Tickets just £5!

With Thursday filling up fast, we’ve added an EXTRA SCREENING:

🦈 Sunday 11th October @ 3:05pm

Experience Jaws the way it deserves to be seen — back on the BIG SCREEN!

Book your tickets at the link in our bio!

Profits from our Top 5 Audience Favourite screenings are supporting our Foyer Revamp Fundraising Campaign, helping us build what’s next at The Playhouse. 🔨🧰

It was a bit dark and breezy when Boss Lady Claire left work yesterday so she didn't leave any golden envelopes around town for fear of them taking off and ending up in Arbroath

But she'll make up for it today with a few extras so keep an eye out for her posts. Clue to the first locations are below

Good luck! by @themoplayhouse

🗣️ YOU VOTED… I SWEAR IS BACK! 🎂🎥

Tomorrow night, our 5th Birthday celebrations continue with the third film in YOUR Top 5 Audience Favourites — I SWEAR! 🏆

And we can’t say we’re surprised this one made the cut! When I Swear first arrived at The Playhouse last year, it became a HUGE audience favourite — at one point selling almost FIVE TIMES as many tickets as the next best-performing film over the same period! 🤯👏

Based on the inspiring true story of Tourette Syndrome campaigner John Davidson, the film stars Robert Aramayo alongside Maxine Peake, Shirley Henderson and Peter Mullan, and tells a powerful, funny and deeply moving story of overcoming adversity, finding acceptance and being understood. ❤️

You loved it then, you voted for it now — so we’re bringing it back to the big screen!

🗓️ TOMORROW – Tuesday 6th October @ 7:50pm
🎟️ Tickets just £5!

Profits from our Top 5 screenings are supporting our Foyer Revamp Fundraising Campaign, helping us build what’s next at The Playhouse. 👷🏻‍♀️🔨🧰
