After an incredible journey at Marshall, I’m excited to officially announce that I’ve accepted the Defensive Coordinator position at Legacy School of Sport Sciences.

I’m thankful for every player, coach, administrator, parent, and supporter I’ve had the opportunity to work with throughout the years. Marshall will always be home.

I’m excited for this next chapter and the opportunity to help build something special with my brother Toney Hurd Jr.. Let's work!

In the last 15 minutes, of the last period, on the last day, of my last year at Marshall, I received what may be the greatest gift of my 12 years in education.

A handwritten note from a student. But honestly, I believe it was a message from God.

This note came from a student who does not speak English and our relationship started with me simply acknowledging her with Hola! whenever she came to class.

To my fellow educators, I know the days can be long. The work can be mentally and emotionally draining. You can give your best and still feel unnoticed.

But never underestimate the impact of the relationships you build.

STUDENTS MAYBE CHANGING BUT WE DON'T HAVE TO. Continue to remember why you got into education.

Continue to love kids.

Continue to build relationships.

Continue to make a difference.

Because sometimes, when you need it most, God will remind you that your impact is greater than you realize.

I hear You, Big G O D.

I hear You. 🫡🤝🏽🙏🏾 by @themotiv8u

YOU vs. YOU

Competition is a way of life

My old teammate and good friend @jamar51chaney once told me "Everyday you're either getting better or getting worse there is no staying the same."

STUDENT SUCCESS TIP OF THE DAY

Shift your thinking from what grade am I getting here, to who am I becoming here?

School is not just about your grades, it's always about the habits you create.

“Looking back, I realized God never left me… even in high school. " 🙏🏾🎓

In this episode of Kingdom Grind Podcast, we talk about faith, growth, pressure, purpose, and how God was moving even in moments we didn’t fully understand yet.

Some of y’all needed this reminder
God has been with you the whole time. 🤝🏾
