This was great, meeting the “Nicest Guy in Horror,” Mick Garris. Thrilled to have him at the Colonial, finally. Hopefully, it will not be the last time. taken in The Colonial Theatre by @themovielord

For over forty years, Jeffrey Combs has been a cult movie mainstay and one of the most beloved character actors of his generation.

When I was 18 years old a dear friend gave me this edition of #starwars #theempirestrikesback. Despite not being the full score, the suites here are still my favorite renditions. It’s my #soundtrackoftheday by @themovielord

Did a revisit of #williamblatty’s #exorcistiii aka Legion last week. What a tour de force of of a film. George C. Scott and Brad Dourif are just two men sitting in a cell and talking and it’s a masterclass in performances. With that being Scott and Ed Flanders bring the same level to their scenes as well. Their conversation in the bar that goes from It’s a Wonderful to the Gemini Killer is a true testament to both perfect screen writing and acting. by @themovielord

In 1992, I produced a live TV segment for my high school called The Wacky Weather. Hosted by Phil Krick, it was a pretty run-of-the-mill weather report: a quick, simple joke followed by Phil telling everyone what was happening outside. That all changed with the Halloween episode. As you can see from the picture, things got a little crazy. That episode set the tone for The Wacky Weather, and for the rest of the school year, the shenanigans continued!

I just got the old VHS tapes transferred via Legacy Box.

Thrilled this is coming to @oakscentercinema this week. Amazingly, the film has been restored, considering it is 55 years old. See it for one week!

Tickets here:

Assembled from the original camera negative, this new 4K restoration presents Ken Russell’s definitive vision by referencing the edit he privately constructed in 2004. It’s the uncut and unfiltered theatrical experience that Russell always envisioned – and the first time the film will be presented restored and in 4K.

In 17th-century France, Father Grandier (Oliver Reed) is a priest whose unorthodox views on sex and religion influence a passionate following of nuns, including the sexually obsessed Sister Jeanne (Vanessa Redgrave). When the power-hungry Cardinal Richelieu (Christopher Logue) realizes he must eliminate Grandier to gain control of France, Richelieu portrays Grandier as a satanist and spearheads a public outcry to destroy the once-loved priest's reputation.

Found several of the movie trivia posts/ slides I made during the pandemic. These were posted online and played as part of the theatre’s pre-show ads.

For me it was fun finding the behind-the-scenes photo to go with the bit of trivia.

Update on Auditorium 23 at #oakscentercinema. Looking under the seats, seats that need to move out! More than new seats. More than a new screen. Stay tuned! Oh and this is not 35mm related. That’s a different post. 😏🍿🎦💺 taken in Oaks Center by @themovielord
