Doing what we love! ❤️‍🔥building ovens
has been our passion hobby on the weekends for
several years... Today our vision is to make it a lifestyle
+ school-on-the-road and take it to a greater level of
community and service. 🦅

The one above just finished days ago 🔥with a fresh
plaster layer of clay that we’ve collected along the way
🌀some from Jersey, Appalachia and Hudson Valley.

Shoutout and many thanks to all the hands👐🏼
and collective effort that went into creating this..

The best days are work days!🫶🏼
We knew when we started out on this journey it wasn’t going to be easy or without obstacles… but the vision, the core of why we left the comforts of home, network and family to embark into the unknown is our guiding compass and commitment!

Things took a big turn and shifted from what we originally came to Texas for. However, we trust the path is unfolding exactly as it’s supposed to and navigate with grace + solution based. It was the catalyst to get out here in the field of possibilities. And, there is a greater plan - we know deep down. We’ve got to keep on movin’. 🎵

Always feels good to get our hands in the earth, create and build something, together, reconnecting our hearts with life’s beauty & purpose.

The outdoor shower (made with reclaimed wood) needs finishing touches & fixtures but when complete will be a lovely retreat amongst wildflowers and epic sunsets.
and; topped off with a fresh savory salad from the homegrown garden.☀️🌱💧

Today, we opened our mud oven, removed the sand from inside, and made our first fire in the oven to cure it.

Those few weeks process to make an oven out of the clay and mud of the land was such a magical and deeply grounding process.

This is a reminder that the Earth is abundant and so giving when treated with respect.

Soon, we will cook pizza, chicken, bread, etc in it. Requiring just a bit of wood from fallen trees, this is one of the most sustainable cooking ovens you can make and enjoy.

Deep thanks to Camilo @themudbunch and his skills to bring such gifts to us. Don't hesitate to reach out to him if you feel called to build this on your land.

✨️💕
