I never thought becoming a mum would make me question a part of myself I used to be so proud of... 🥹

And the hardest part was admitting what I was actually missing… 🥺

If you’re new here, hiiii 👋💕 I’m the mum behind The Mum Money Method.

I’m 33, mum to a little girl, working, building an online business and trying to figure out how to give my family more choices.

But there’s a part of my story I don’t think I’ve shared enough…

When my daughter was little, I made the decision to step away from a higher paying career and work part time so I could spend more time with her.

And I would make that decision again in a heartbeat. ❤️

But somewhere between becoming a mum, adjusting to a smaller income and putting everyone else first…

I started missing the independence I used to have.

Not because I regretted motherhood.

Not because I wasn’t grateful.

I just missed having something that was mine. 🥹

I’m back at work now, and I’m still figuring out how to balance it all.

That’s what led me to digital marketing and selling digital products.

I started learning how to build something online around my actual life… work hours, mum duties, bedtime routines and all.

And slowly, those little efforts started turning into real sales. 💗

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still having days when I wonder what the hell I’m doing 😂

But I’m proud that I started.

And that’s why I share my journey here.

For the mums who love their children more than anything but still want to feel like themselves.

For the women who want to learn how to earn online without having to give up their jobs or family time.

I was genuinely happy seeing other people make sales… but I hated what I was thinking afterwards 🥹…

And the worst part? I felt guilty for even having that thought… 😭

I’d open Instagram and see another sale notification.

Another milestone.

Another person celebrating their results.

And I’d genuinely be happy for them 💗

But quietly, I’d wonder…

“When is it going to be MY turn?” 🥲

Because I wasn’t sitting around doing nothing.

I was creating content.
Learning new things.
Trying different strategies.
Showing up even when I felt discouraged.

But sometimes it felt like everyone else was moving faster than me.

And honestly? That feeling was exhausting.

Especially as a mum trying to build something around family life.

Then I started asking myself something…

Why was I measuring MY progress against someone else’s results? 👀

I was so focused on what everyone else was achieving that I wasn’t giving myself credit for what I’d already done.

So I started paying more attention to what I could actually improve.

Was my messaging clear?

Was I speaking to the right people?

Could someone understand how my offers might help them?

And was I learning from the content that wasn’t working?

During my September Bootcamp, I made 4 sales.

Then another 3 straight afterwards 🥹💗

And now?

28 sales in 7 months.

I know those numbers might look small compared to some of the income screenshots online…

But they’re MY results.

And I’m bloody proud of them 😭💗

I’m still learning, still improving, and yes… still overthinking my content sometimes lol.

But I’m learning to stop overlooking my own progress just because someone else is further ahead.

I thought posting MORE would bring me sales… until I noticed THIS 🥹…

And the part that surprised me most wasn’t even the sales… 👀

For the longest time, I thought I was doing everything right.

I was showing up.
Creating content.
Sharing my offers.
Trying to give value.

But my sales weren’t matching the effort I was putting in 😭

And honestly? It was frustrating.

Because as a mum, I didn’t start digital marketing to spend hours glued to my phone.

I wanted MORE time with my daughter 🥲💗

Then during my September Bootcamp, I started noticing something I’d been overlooking…

It wasn’t how MUCH I was posting.

It was how clearly I was communicating.

I was talking about my offers, but was I actually helping people understand WHY they needed them?

Who was I speaking to?
What were they struggling with?
Could they see how my offer would help?

So I started making small changes to my messaging.

And during Bootcamp…

I made 4 sales 🥹

Then another 2 came in AFTER!

6 sales altogether!! 😭💗

I know that might not sound like a huge number to some people…

But to ME? It meant so much.

Because I was finally seeing progress in something I’d been trying so hard to improve.

I’m still learning and still overthinking my content sometimes lol 😂

But I’m realising that posting MORE isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes people just need to understand how your offer can actually help THEM.

I didn’t realise the “freedom” I was building was quietly taking something from me…🥺👇

And I didn’t notice it straight away…

I started digital marketing because I wanted MORE freedom.

More flexibility.

More time with my daughter. 🤍

But somewhere along the way…

I was sitting beside her while thinking about content.

Checking DMs.

Replying to comments.

Wondering what I needed to post next.

Technically I was there…

but sometimes my head was still inside my business.

And that bothered me more than I wanted to admit.

Because I didn’t start this so I could become attached to my phone in a different way.

I started it because I wanted more of my time back.

So I started looking at what I could put in place that didn’t need me sitting there every second…

Content that leads somewhere.

A clear path from interest → offer → sale.

And products that can be delivered without me manually doing it.

Then I started getting notifications like…

“You made $35.84 in sales while you were gone.” 🥹

And another order that was automatically fulfilled.

Those aren’t huge numbers…

but what they represented to me WAS.

A sale happened…

while I wasn’t there waiting for it.

And THAT is the kind of business I’m trying to build.

Not one where I disappear and magically do nothing 😂

One where I can show up intentionally…

then put my phone down and actually be present with the person I started doing this for. 🤍

I’m still building toward that.

But now I’m thinking less about…

“How can I do MORE?”

And more about…

“What can I put in place so everything doesn’t need ME?”

I thought posting more would fix my sales… I was looking at the wrong thing 😭👇…

And September gave me the little reality check I needed…👀👇

I was showing up.

Creating content.

Trying to provide value.

Promoting the offers I believed in.

So naturally I kept thinking…

maybe I just need to be MORE consistent?

But during a Bootcamp I joined in September, I started paying closer attention to my messaging.

And I realised something…

Someone could see my content every single day…

but if they couldn’t quickly understand who I was talking to, what problem I understood and why the offer mattered to THEM…

posting more wasn’t going to fix that.

So I started getting more intentional.

Instead of asking…

“What should I post today?”

I started asking…

“What does the person reading this actually need to hear?”

Their frustration.

What they’re trying to achieve.

What’s keeping them stuck.

And how what I’m promoting could help them move forward.

Then during that Bootcamp…

I made 4 sales. 🥹

And when I later got feedback saying I had one of the highest transformations that month…

that meant a lot.

Not just because of the sales.

Because I finally felt like I was learning how to communicate instead of simply create content.

That’s the part I wish I understood sooner.

Consistency still matters…

but I want my audience to understand my message when I DO show up.

Because being seen is one thing.

Being understood is what I’m working on now. 🤍

Then I lost momentum completely — nothing dramatic, just quietly less motivated than I’d been. I was close to stepping away for a while.

I joined the WTF Bootcamp because I needed someone to actually walk me through what I’d been missing, not because I doubted it.

The first week was me learning the method and applying it properly for the first time — not the bootcamp being slow, just me catching up to it.

By day 10, once I’d actually applied it the way it was meant to be used, it clicked. By the end: 4 sales from the bootcamp, plus one more the day it officially finished. 26 total digital product sales.

And ngl… finding out where they went instead hurt a lil more than being ghosted 💀👇…

I thought I was doing everything right.

They came into MY DMs.

They were asking about the offer.

They wanted details.

They were clearly interested…

So obviously I thought…

“Okayyyy this is looking good 👀😂”

And then I’d start answering EVERYTHING.

Long messages.

Voice notes.

Extra tips they didn’t even ask for.

I’d explain the offer from top to bottom because I thought the more helpful I was…

the easier it would be for them to say yes.

Except some of those conversations ended with…

“Thank you so much, I’ll think about it 🥰”

Then…

nothing 😭

But what really got me?

Seeing some of those same people go buy something similar somewhere else.

Like EXCUSE ME??? We just had a whole relationship in my DMs lmfao 😭

That forced me to look at what I was actually doing during those conversations.

And I noticed something…

I was answering every question they had…

before I understood WHY they were asking it.

I wasn’t finding out what they were struggling with.

What they’d already tried.

What result they actually wanted.

Or what was making them hesitate.

I was just…

giving them information.

A LOT of it 😂

So they left my DMs more educated…

but not necessarily any clearer on why MY offer made sense for THEIR problem.

Now I ask more than I explain.

I’ve closed 25 sales AND generated 16 new leads 👀😭
Because sometimes the next sale doesn’t need another paragraph about your offer…

it needs one better question 👀
