October at Home 🤎🍁🍂

There’s something special in creating a home that feels like a warm hug, cozy, inviting…
Everyday I try to set up such an environment that invites me to create more special meaningful moments and everyone who enters to feel nourished.

Thank you October for all that you brought! ✨🧡

October 1st 🍂🤎 October has always been a special month for me.

It brings so much of our family stories, carrying both celebration and remembrance, joy and loss.

There’s something about this month that’s deep, meaningful, mystical, and always makes me slow down, reflect, and feel more. ✨

May you be blessed this season and create cozy moments for yourself and your loved ones. 🕯️

Love,

One of my favorite things about Fall 🍂 is the candlelit evenings and cozy atmosphere. There’s something so comforting about being in a home that feels like a warm hug.

Candles add such a special touch to a space, and the ones from @p.scandles smell absolutely amazing. They’re made with non-toxic ingredients, too. 🤎

I love supporting women-owned small businesses, and I know firsthand how much love and care she puts into making each one. 🕯️🍂

Crate & Barrel’s Autumn Collection is filled with warmth, coziness, sophistication and layers of beauty. I noticed how they paired warm tones with muted blues and grays which brought an interesting contrast and balance. Also, deep burgundy and olive greens. This collection was inspired by the English countryside and feels very romantic and elegant.

Hope you feel inspired to bring some coziness to your home this fall 🍂🤎 @crateandbarrel

The Muse Welcomes Autumn 🍂🤎🍁
By: Katherine Galeano

She embraces autumn
as it enters quietly
through her window.

The glow of her candles,
the scent of cinnamon and spice
drifting from her diffuser,
the warmth gathering
in every corner of her kitchen.

She dances as she cooks,
the Muse of her home,
tending her place
with beauty
and the things she adores.

Cozy is her favorite accent.

It brings out something
of who she is,
for there is a coziness within her too,
woven into her pillows
and her dreams.

She loves the taste of autumn
and infuses it into all she touches,
into her drinks,
into her cooking,
into every flavor she composes.

Warm spices gathered slowly,
a warm meal prepared in awe.

And every day of autumn,
she falls a little more in love.

With life,
with beauty,
with warmth,
with the home she calls her own.

And that love does not stay inside.

It spills into everything she does,
every silence,
every whisper,
every laugh,
and every song…

She decorates her life
with her strength
and soft embrace.

This is the essence of the Muse:

to tend what has been entrusted,
to find beauty in the everyday,
to make her home
the safest place.

With Love,
The Muse of Home 🤎🏡

Comparison really is the thief of joy. 🤎🍂

I’ve caught myself doing this too, especially scrolling through Instagram and seeing these beautiful, expansive homes. It’s easy to look at them and suddenly see your own space differently.

But I want to remind you, especially if you live in an apartment, a townhome, or a smaller home: don’t let someone else’s home make you overlook the magic of your own.

Make your space beautiful. Fill it with the things you love. Create the feeling you want to experience when you walk through the door.

There is so much beauty in what your home is capable of being. You don’t need someone else’s square footage to experience it.

Fall in love with your home! 🤎🏡🍂

These four agreements have been on my mind lately, especially when I’m around people and in gatherings. 🕯️

🍂 Be impeccable with your word.

For me, this means being pure, honest, and transparent in the way I communicate. Saying what I mean and allowing myself to be truthful without fear or unnecessary restraint. There is a freedom that comes from knowing you have been honest with yourself and with others.

🍂 Don’t take anything personally.

This one feels incredibly liberating to me. When someone says something, I want to be able to hear what they actually said without immediately dissecting it, creating stories around it, or searching for a deeper meaning that may not be there. I don’t have to carry everything people say on my shoulders. There is freedom in allowing people to be who they are and letting their words belong to them.

🍂 Don’t make assumptions.

This feels especially important when we gather with others. It’s easy to create expectations around why someone didn’t come, what they meant, how they feel, or what they should have done. But we often don’t really know unless we ask. Releasing those assumptions leaves so much more room for understanding and peace.

🍂 Always do your best.

I think there is something powerful about simply doing your best, regardless of the outcome. Showing up with good intentions and giving what you can, without attaching your worth to how things turn out. Your best may look different from one day to the next, and sometimes all you can do is know that you genuinely gave what you had. Once you know you did your best, you can let the rest go.

Simple agreements, but powerful ones to carry into our homes and into the way we gather with others.

📖 The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz, is one of those books that stays with you. I’ve found myself coming back to these principles at different points in life, and I think they are worth keeping close, especially in the way we live, communicate, and gather with others. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. 🫶

With Love,
The Muse of Home 🍂🤎🍁
