A sketch becomes an invention. A question becomes an idea. Curiosity becomes genius.

At THEMUSEUM, Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius opens the door to a mind that refused to stay in one lane. Art, science, imagination and invention come together in an immersive experience that invites you to wander, interact and see the world through Leonardo’s endlessly curious eyes.

Follow curiosity wherever it leads through @themuseumkitchener. And stay close. A very special da Vinci giveaway is coming soon. 👀

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

Ready to put your creativity to the test? THEMUSEUM is seeking artists for The Brush Off, Waterloo Region’s original live art-making competition and fundraising event!

Join us on January 23, 2027, for The Brush Off | da Vinci Edition, inspired by our latest exhibition, Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius, or apply for our traditional competition on April 10, 2027.

Create art live in front of an audience, compete for prizes, and showcase your work to the community. Guests will vote for their favourites, and completed artworks will be available through a silent auction, with proceeds split 60/40 between THEMUSEUM and participating artists.

Think you have what it takes? Applications are open to artists 18 and older, and you can apply for one or both events!

🗓️ Application deadline: Friday, November 27, 2026, at 5 PM.

Curiosity has no limits. Neither did Leonardo.

The da Vinci Dialogues at THEMUSEUM continue to explore the extraordinary influence of Leonardo da Vinci, connecting Renaissance ideas with modern innovation, engineering, art, science, and cutting-edge technology.

There’s still time to join us for these thought-provoking conversations in 2026! All dialogues include Sunday afternoon admission to THEMUSEUM, and free parking in the Duke Street Parking Garage.
