A brief selection and compilation of songs from Main Attrakionz and Green Ova artists (@dopegthequickyank, @shadyblazec5). All songs and a mix on side b produced by Squadda B. I am so glad to finally have Main Attrakionz on tape now! Although the recording quality on it may not be up to par with the rest of my tapes, it's still a very cool piece of media to have in my collection.

Including tracks from their early career, especially 808's and Dark Grapes II, with 'Diamond of God' being featured on this compilation. Also one of my favorite songs off of the orignal tape, and this just makes me wish it would've been pressed on cassette. 🙏 Another notable track is 'Young As Fuck Pt. 1', which was featured on an older mixtape; "Best Duo Ever: The Greentape", and later remixed/remastered for 808's II. A great tape that fans and first-time listeners should check out to get a taste of early cloud rap, and how their sound came to be.

09.12.26 - @xavierwulf at @bbowlphilly

What an experience is all I can say about this one, I drove 1h 50m to Philly for this show and it was 100% worth it.

First off, @wakeupf1lthy having a pop up set?? I thought that was sick asf, I'm pretty familiar with some of his stuff and the status he has, so that was a cherry on top of the concert, went through a ton of rage and drain gang classics that he produced.

But the concert itself was something that will probably live in my head rent-free for months, after him grabbing my Ethelwulf vinyl a few songs in and signing it after the song was done, to him dapping me up and coming to high five everyone at the barricade. He also performed Akina Speed Star for the first time in Philly!! 2 people passed out during the set too, shit was actually insane.

2 Low Key (I would tag but can't find the handle) - Test My Nutz/Criminalistic Knowledge produced by @m.d.b._tharealaggin (1995, pressed to vinyl in 2020)

First collab post on this account and I'm more than thankful to have it be with THE M.D.B. This man is a legend in the Memphis rap scene, producing, and rapping since the mid to late 90's, he has been sampled in songs from today that still keep his sound heard, my favorite one being On That Devil Shit -> ULTRA SHXT by @denzelcurryph and @keynyata, another notable sample being Test My Nutz -> Degeneration in the Key of A Minor by @suicideboys & STFU by @yeat

One of the more underground Memphis mixtapes to come out, your average rap fan may not have heard this before. Other than On That Devil Shit ft. Lil Chucky being the most popular song from this tape, there are other standouts that I love such as "Hoe Call", "Intro", and "What's Up Now (Pistol Click). Great production from M.D.B. all around, love those funky basslines especially on Hoe Call and On That Devil Shit. 2 Low Key has great bars and flows on each song, the features do justice too, with Lil Hardness featuring on Bank Roll (Roads to Riches). Honorable mentions/edits from M.D.B. himself, Sir Mike G, and Lil Klik of the Willett Klick, who both have credits on this tape.

@snot - Ethereal (2022, signed cd pressing distributed from @dtlrradio, released under @300ent)

Arguably my favorite album from $not by far. A year after this released, I had seen him in 2023 on the Get Busy or Die tour with @nightlovell, @eemtriplin, and @dcthedon and heard some of these songs perfomed live. This album had a chokehold on me for a while after the release, and just kept me going through a time I wasn't feeling like myself, so this really helped.

'BLUE MOON ft @teddijones' is probably one of if not my favorite song off of this album, the lofi/laid back, boom bap, acoustic beat is so good, I would have this on repeat for the longest time to where it was one of my top songs for the year. '5AM', 'Doja ft. @asaprocky' and 'Halle Berry ft. @juicyj' are some others that stand out on this album, I remember the whole rollout with Doja and how there was so much anticipation behind the drop of the song and the video itself, it was a moment in time.

@kencarson - Project X (2021, 2026 First vinyl pressing for 5 years; Dark green/numbered [unknown amount] jacket # 5021)

Man, am I hyped to finally have this album in my collection and be able to hold it physically. This came out in a time in my life where I was still getting into my own path of music discovery and all that kind of stuff. A little bit after Whole Lotta Red by Playboi Carti and being signed to the Opium label, Ken Carson finally released his debut album Project X.

One of the first albums to be classified as "Rage" and would help lay the structure down for the underground artists we have today, Xaviersobased, Nettspend, Che, etc. This would be the start of a completely different rap scene and Ken is just showing you his contribution towards it with this release. Songs like "Rock N Roll (prod. @star_boy, @___outtatown___ , & @1lil88", and "Run + Ran (prod. Starboy and OUTTATOWN)" which are some of the more popular songs off here, have bass-filled beats and heavy synth leads that leave you hooked off the first listen, less popular songs like "So What (prod. @kpbeatz & @rokonthetrack)" and "Burnin Up (prod. @dynoxmusic, @bryceunknwn, @y2tnb, & @sidepce7/DT)" have the same sounds and hit exactly like the other songs on this album. Definitely a piece of history.

@kidcudi - Man On The Moon: End of Day (2009)

Starting off, absolutely one of my favorite albums oat, made me understand all the hype around cudi and his sound, and which led to him becoming one of my biggest influences most recently. The album is filled with late 2000's vibes, spacey and atmospheric beats, you can almost hear the structure of early cloud rap being assembled in some of the songs, especially one of my favorites; "Hyyer" (ft. @kingchip).

Not just the fact that Cudi was signed to G.O.O.D Music under this release for his debut, but also the fact he came from working at a BAPE store to becoming one of raps main influences in the skip of a heartbeat when he dropped "Day n Nite (Nightmare)" and his mixtape: A Kid Named Cudi. This album will go down in history as a classic, had it already not been counted as one. Definitely a time capsule of the year if you had lived in it (I was 3 years old at the time lmao)

Another great GetOnDown pressing, definitely copping the vinyl soon. I haven't listened to this album in full prior to listening to the tape, the quality of my copy is flawless. This was also a great listen, because I haven't really sat down and listened to a Memphis rap album in a while.

This album keeps that crunk/bounce sound from the last Three 6 Mafia days (around the Choices era), my personal favorite "A Crumb 2 A Brick" is hypnotizing whenever i listen to it, a song that never gets old and a chorus that is so good. Another favorite from my listen was "Comin' Clean", which flips a sample from @skinnypimp999 ("Gotta Get Some Ends", and was also sampled in "Tired of Dis Shit" by @djpaulkom), Chat makes her own rendition of the song which doesn't fail to get me hooked even more. I would love to dive into more of her stuff whenever I get the chance, very good album.

@three6mafia - World Domination (1997 Cassette pressing)

Sorry for the lack of uploads!! I've been busy with work and classes (and another concert 👀).

Probably one of my favorite albums released in the T6M discography. It marks a pivotal and important point in their careers, with the album being a mix of their old-school horror sound, with their newer, crunk/party sound, and it just goes hand-in-hand.

There are a ton of standout tracks from this, 'Neighborhood Hoe' by @djpaulkom was originally released on the underground tapes (vol 16 for those wondering) and was remastered/worked on for a more modern release. You've also got 'Late Nite Tip', which I forgot why was also included on here, while released on "The End" previously. I would also like to mention 'Will Blast' and 'Motivated' both have been some of my favorites off of this album after a few more listens.

@emmyb00m - The Absolute Ego Death of a Rotten Girl (2026, CD pressed by @bigthingsitw)

This is one of the coolest albums I've heard so far this year, although some people may not like it, I think it's very good if you like anything related to experimental/industrial rap or hyperpop. I had the opportunity of hearing one of the songs prior to release which was 'Opulence' ft. @squaddab, which I thought was amazing, since I love anything that Squadda releases.

My first listen to this album was in the car, and I would recommend listening to it on a good sound system, because even in the car it kicks. Another favorite track of mine off of this is 'cancerfist' ft @entra.pi, which is a distorted but bouncy song, with a trippy section that's sung by Entra Pi, and was also my first introduction to her, very good stuff.

@elvamadelc - Ain't No Luv Lost (1995, original cassette pressing released through @hoodlumrecordsllc)

I had originally found this album when listening to 'For the Love of Money (Wavy)' by SpaceGhostPurrp and got hooked on the sample from the song, which was taken from the title track of the album. I took a listen to this album a few times and can say it's pretty good, I would like to hear more stuff like this.

Around this time, I found out that Lil Chill is related to MC Eiht which is cool, this album incorporates his sound and the whole 90's west coast vibe, heavy synth melodies and laid back production on every track, especially the title track, it hits hard with a good sound system. Another great track off of this is 'The Enemy' ft. Jeffrey which is a smooth almost slow ballad/storytelling song that reminds me of something that would be made down in Texas, good stuff on this album for sure!

@trippieredd - Trip At Knight (August 20, 2021, signed cd, released under @10kprojects)

This album and its rollout were insane!! Just to have this album physically is crazy in itself, this was a new era and point for trippie, revisiting old tracks (Danny Phantom ft. X/Ghostbusters ft. X, @quavohuncho, and @theslumpgod, and Matt Hardy 999 ft. Juice WRLD/Matt Hardy ft. Juice WRLD) and releasing them with new beats and some new verses, this also helped in the rise of the Rage genre!

I this this album is special, not only because it released on my birthday, but because it started something new for music, we had artists like @liltecca, @sofaygo (who's featured on one of my favorite tracks "MP5"), and @kencarson help in the rage genre, but I feel like Whole Lotta Red and this album had a hand in making the genre go mainstream. "MP5" has crazy melodies throughout the whole track, and a pretty catchy chorus, I remember "Supernatural" being hyped up when it released, but it feels overlooked today, the first part of the song is great and the beat switch makes it even better.
