Introducing … The Nadanam Collective 🪩
December 12, 2025
Judson Memorial Church - The Gym

The Nadanam Collective embodies a passionate community of dancers, musicians, and artists driven by an unyielding yearning to perform and share the beauty of Bharatanatyam. Our collective thrives on a liberated approach, empowering ourselves with the freedom to explore the depths of this art form by pushing the limits of traditionally set boundaries.
Motivated by a growing awareness of Bharatanatyam’s contentious past, we strive to UNLEARN and break away from the constraints enforced by those who sought to dictate the norms of this art form. Rooted in our shared experiences as first-generation Malayali Americans, we bring with us the aesthetics, cultural references, and sensibilities of Kerala, India—layering them into our practice and performance as a way of honoring heritage while forging new possibilities.
