✨ Overthinking it all. Oversharing the real + raw chaos of building a brand, business & raising 4 kids
POSTS STORIES REELS
The story behind the brand. Come and meet the founder, Tristinn 💗 @pinkswanprofessional started with one frustrated nail tech: me. 💅🏻 I became a teen mum at 16. Not long after, I studied my Cert III in Nails and Beauty at TAFE, opened my books and began taking clients from my lounge room. By 18, I had built a loyal clientele and was fully booked. Shortly after, my 2nd child, Sienna Rose, was born with health issues and is now profoundly deaf. Between appointments and surgeries, working for myself gave me the flexibility to be there for her while continuing to grow my business. When I launched Pink Swan™ at 21, I had 2 children and a full client book. I still couldn’t find a gel polish that didn’t need 3 or more coats to look right. Every extra coat meant more time, more product and more money out of my own pocket. I knew other nail techs were experiencing the same frustration, so I stopped waiting for the right gel to come along and went looking for it myself. I tested formula after formula until I found gels that truly met my standards. Every gel colour is highly pigmented, with most shades reaching full coverage in just 1–2 coats. They’re available in 6ml and 20ml sizes, so techs can try a shade before committing to a full bottle. Every formula is HEMA Free, Cruelty Free, 10-Free and Vegan, because what goes into the bottle matters just as much as what comes out of it. Pink Swan was built in the salon by someone who has sat exactly where you sit as a nail tech. Every product carries my name because I’ve tested and trusted it myself. I’m 28 now, with almost 11 years behind the desk. I’m a nail artist, now a mum of 4, and married to my childhood sweetheart of 13 years. I know the nail industry inside and out, and I’m still building Pink Swan around family life. If you’re new here, I’m glad you found me. Follow along for nails, juggling business, the chaos of mum life, and the real journey of building Pink Swan.✨ Pigment. Passion. If you’re in the thick of it and life feels hard, please know you’re doing a good job. Your babies are so lucky to have you. Keep going, and never give up. 💪🏼❤️ by @thenailceo.au
Everyone says the 2nd child is the wild one… but the 4th takes the cake we don’t call him terror Teddy for no reason. 😂 by @thenailceo.au
Happy Sunday!☀️ by @thenailceo.au
I don’t even know that girl from last October… This body has grown and carried 4 babies, gained over 30kg with each pregnancy and breastfed for more than 6+ years combined. Somewhere between motherhood, postpartum depression, anxiety and PTSD, I completely lost myself mentally and physically. I’m now 31kg down, slowly finding myself again and discovering a new love for weight training. I’m still not at my goal weight or fitness level, but I’ve come so far and I’m proud of myself for that. 💪🏼 Just a reminder to all the mummas in the postpartum trenches, there is light at the end of the tunnel. With the rising cost of living right now, I know everyone is feeling the pinch. Choosing to include my small business in your budget means the world to me, so thank you. 🩷🩷🩷 by @thenailceo.au
Happy Friday ☀️🩷 A little follow up to yesterday’s real and raw business crash out video. I’m mentally doing okay. I was overwhelmed and pressed record in the moment. Thank you so much to everyone who reached out with kindness, advice and support. I’ve read every message. I started my business young so still trying to figure it all out as I’ve grown as a person and over the past few years, life having more babies, navigating my daughter’s health issues and everything else meant the business got put on the back burner. Now I’m trying to pick things back up and figure out what the next chapter looks like. I also wanted to share this as a reminder that business isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. There can be a lot more lows than highs, even when it doesn’t look that way from the outside. If you’ve been through a difficult season in your ecommerce business, I’d love to hear what helped you find your way forward and that helped you scale? 💕 by @thenailceo.au
Feeling really vulnerable sharing this, but I know I can’t be the only business owner feeling like this right now. If you’ve been through a hard season while scaling an e-commerce business, I’d love to hear what helped you through it. 🤍 by @thenailceo.au
