Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining an inspiring group of female founders and business leaders at Enterprise Enfield’s exclusive roundtable on female entrepreneurship, alongside Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, Howard Dawber OBE.

We came together to share our business journeys and have an honest conversation about the challenges women face when building and growing a business — from funding and rising costs to childcare, caring responsibilities and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

I spoke about our industry. About what it takes to run a nail and beauty business with excellence, the realities of building a business in the beauty sector, and why women-led businesses like ours deserve to be part of these important conversations.

It was an honour to be in the room alongside Susanna Paisio, Cathy Underwood, Boyoon Choi, Forogh Rahmani, Lisa Seagroatt, Ela Teague, Mirjam Makinde, Kala Paul-Worika, Laura Martins, Liz Gjoni, Howard Dawber OBE, Despina Johnson, Silvana Xhameta, Audra Daws Knowles and Desi Christou.

Enterprise Enfield has been supporting people to start, grow and thrive in business for over 40 years, with a particular focus on female entrepreneurship. Being part of a conversation like this is a reminder of how important targeted support, shared experiences and having a seat at the table really are.

The conversation doesn’t stop here. We’ll be meeting again - and I’ll be there.
