POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hey y’all! I am absolutely overjoyed to have been crowned Miss Nebraska 2026! Every moment leading up to this has been beautiful, meaningful, and inspiring. I have met so many incredible people who have come alongside me in this journey! I am proud to represent Nebraska under this title! Now just a little bit about me: I am a journalism major at a Florida university with a passion for sharing the stories that have yet to be told. I proudly advocate for human trafficking survivors, challenging people to join the fight! I am an avid storm chaser as well as a wave catcher(although the surf and I don’t always get along) 🏄🏼‍♀️🌊🌴⛈️🌪️ I want to know your stories and my hope is represent this beautiful state with confidence and compassion! Much love from the Cornhusker state 🫶🫶 (let’s take a moment to appreciate my tree climbing skills showcased in the last photo 😆😆) taken in Nebraska by @thenamnemiss

Feeling so thankful that I get to pursue my passion for science everyday.
This March the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center filmed a short video sharing my story of how being a title holder has helped shape my confidence and drive throughout my graduate school career.
I hope to continue to not only live my purpose to one day make in impact on patient care with my research efforts but also inspire younger girls that you belong in every space where leadership and change happen. Here are a few snapshots of a day in the life of a STEM PhD student!
Thank you again to the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center for sharing my story🤍 copy the link below or follow the link in my highlighted story!

Nationals Recap!
Now that I’m home and back to reality, I have had time to reflect on my time at Nationals.
✨I am forever grateful to have earned the opportunity to represent not only Nebraska, but women with a vision in the STEM community on a National stage.
Not only as an advocate but as a researcher, I work everyday to make strides closer to understanding the complexities of cancer and be able to directly make an impact on my community.
✨Two months ago, I was relearning how to walk on my own two feet after hip surgery, not even thinking about how I would be in heels in less than a week before Nationals began. Throughout the week, I was authentically myself and would not change a thing about my honesty in interview or my performance onstage.
✨Lastly, I’d like to say thank you to all who supported me throughout the week with laughter, friendship and kindness. It’s people like you who make pageantry worth it.
Don’t worry Nebraska, Nationals may be over but I am just getting started🤍 taken in Hyatt Regency Orlando by @thenamnemiss

Hi Barbie!💗
Danced the night away with my sister queens last night at the annual Ashley Rene Doll Ball!
Everyone brought a doll for donation to Toys for Tots and of course I had to pick a Barbie with a unicorn!! Over 500 dolls were donated and my heart is overflowing with joy! taken in National American Miss Pageant Orlando FL by @thenamnemiss

Today I’m reminded that healing takes courage in this vulnerable photo.

Investing in your health isn’t weakness—it’s strength. Life isn’t a straight line, and sometimes the hardest detours teach us the most about perseverance.

Hip surgery may be part of my journey today, but it’s also a step toward restoring my body and giving myself space to heal.

Here’s to honoring rest, trusting the process, and moving forward one step at a time to prepare myself from resting on the couch to the national stage in a few short months! ✨ by @thenamnemiss

Hey everyone! I am elated to announce I am your 2025 National American Miss Nebraska! I cannot wait to start this journey and take you all along with me!

It only seems fitting to tell you a little bit about me!
🧬🔬I am currently a PhD student in the Cancer Research Graduate Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a focus in metastatic prostate cancer. Science has been a huge part of my life since I can remember and I hope throughout my time this year I can share my story of being a woman in STEM and inspire young girls to step into their power of confidence and intelligence.

When I’m not cooking up experiments in my lab, I am an avid traveler, book worm and baton twirler…yes that includes fire batons.

🤍I am looking forward to a wonderful year of service and can’t wait to see what this year brings. taken in Omaha, Nebraska by @thenamnemiss
