One of the questions we get asked most is where everything goes.

The answer? As quickly as possible, right back into the hands of families who need it.

Today, my three little helpers and I loaded donations headed to programs supported by @childrensnational . Because donations don’t change lives sitting on shelves...they change lives when they’re shared.

For ten years, I have been in the thick of raising babies and I am so proud of who they are becoming. But lately, they need me a little less... and it makes me wonder "who am I becoming?"

It's "to be determined"... but figuring it out is the fun part ✨.

Surround yourself with people who say, “That’s not crazy.” “That’s completely possible.” “I have no doubt you can do it.”

Find the people who believe in your vision, even when you’re still finding the courage to believe in it yourself.

Because when you talk yourself out of trying, you never get to see who your courage might inspire. The next woman. The next generation. The next person with a big idea who needs to see someone else go first. by @thenapkinnetwork

Real talk: It’s been on my heart to grow awareness of The Napkin Network. To bring our mission to more moms, more communities, more people who might say, “I want to help.”

But I kept finding reasons to wait. Summer. My children. Who would I invite? Would it make sense? Can I do something where I don't know anyone. Even in the days leading up to this, I kept saying "what if no one comes?".

But I kept saying: Just try.

So we picked a date. We picked a venue. We put the invitation out without knowing who would walk through the door.

And guess what? People showed up. Moms showed up. Women showed up. The venue (thank you @royalpalms) generously donated its space (the owner even gave us private shuffleboard lessons), conversations turned into connections, and an idea became our first New York friendraiser.

I have a feeling we’ll look back on this night and say, “Thank goodness we started.”

New York, you were a dream. The kindness, the interest, the women willing to open their networks to our mission. There is so much possibility here, and we can’t wait to do it again.

Last month, I was sorting diapers wherever I could find the floor space.

This month, @thenapkinnetwork has a space to call home.

Every diaper, wipe, and can of formula that comes through here is meant for a mom who shouldn't have to choose between a meal and a clean diaper.

Follow along as I build this space from the ground up (with generous support from @rachelorganizes, @amandamarinoofficial, and @fovndry)

We’re so excited to begin a monthly partnership with @nourishnow whose mission is to end hunger through food recovery. Together, we’re serving families right here in Montgomery County, helping put essentials into the hands of moms who need them.

We also popped by the incredible crew at @isupportthegirls , who generously donated car seats and other baby items for the families we serve.

There’s no shortage of generosity in this town, and I’m so grateful just to be among the people showing up for our neighbors every day.
