Posted @withregram • @jeremycorbyn Well done to all those who have tirelessly campaigned for the recognition of Palestine — an inalienable right of the Palestinian people.

Next, the UK should recognise the genocide in Gaza, end its complicity in crimes against humanity, and stop arming Israel. by @thenathanphoto

Posted @withregram • @dr_ronx I won’t look away.
I will continue to divest where I can.
I will be loud and vocal.
Im going to allow my self to be sad and angry.
This is honestly one of the worse moments in time.
I cannot believe what I am seeing.
Medical students, doctors, healthcare workers, babies on my feed unalive. Those stunned babies and children with so much fear in their eyes.
This cannot be the same earth I am walking on.
I haven’t forgotten Congo, Sudan or Tigray, Pakistan, or any other place where the unalive of humans is happening.
Ya gonna have to unfollow or mute me because I CANNOT BE QUIET ABOUT THIS.

Zines.

Here we are with two lovely zines I’ve just produced, there are only a few copies at the moment but there is a larger print run on the way.

These are a slight departure away from typical NathanPhoto images, they may herald a completely new direction or they may be just one offs!

First up is ‘Spaces’ a look at various spaces that I encounter, I always get the feeling that something has happened here, which of course it has by the sheer act of photographing it but has something else happened there at some point.

Second one is called “Places’ and this is a collection of pictures I’ve taken round the world that aren’t home but I think remind me of Manchester, or maybe not depending how you look at them.

They are both priced at £5 each plus P+P.

If you’re interested then send me a message and I’ll send you the PayPal link. by @thenathanphoto

Have put some Poptastic 1996 Mardi Gras special clubbing images up on the NathanPhoto Clubbing Archive site.

You can see them at https://nathanphotoclubbing.myportfolio.com/poptastic-mardi-gras-1996

Let me know what you think.

Little film update and to counteract the cloying effects of nostalgia that work is at the moment, here is some recent work.

I never quite understood the love for the Kodak; I never found their stock to be my tastes. Think this partly illustrates my choices.

I’ve been making some pictures with light, put 2 rolls of out-of-date slide film through that both expired in 2005, which is 21 years ago!!!

Currently digitizing the negatives from Mardi Gras 1996, (that was what Pride was called back then) wondering where to put them and if to post them all on the socials or on my site. What do people think?

Strange feelings seeing some of these for the first time since then as I thought they were from a few years old but apparently its now 30 years ago. Doesn’t seem like that.

I guess one of my worries, apart from accidently embarrassing or causing undue distress by showing these images is of others sharing (and capitalising) on the warmth (clickbait) of nostalgia from my hard work back then!

What to do? #MardiGras #1996 #Manchester #GayVillage #Pride #30years?!? #lifeasNathanPhoto #Archive #predigital #fujifilm #filmphotography #Canon by @thenathanphoto

Morning, done an update to the NathanPhoto Clubbing site as I noticed the WHP exhibition in Spinningfields was missing some work.

Mine !

History might remember me but why does no one now?

Anyway I’m fine. Have a look at the pictures at:

Thoughts… by @thenathanphoto

Ah it's that time of year, it's the Balearics. Lovely, beautiful, spiritual, amazing. Changing it up now though. by @thenathanphoto

Focus is absolutely essential in photography—it can make or break an image. Here’s why it matters and how it impacts your work:

Next: If you want, next we can:
• Explore specific focus tools or settings for your camera model
• Practice focus techniques with example scenarios
• Compare autofocus vs. manual focus for your photography style by @thenathanphoto

“For saying you don’t like street…you do a lot of it”

And here is a recent image, the story behind it and my current thinking on #streetphotography are in my latest musing on my site.

I’m thinking this maybe a preview of what my learning channel could look like.

Thank you. // Think love.
