‘Shen is the possibility to receive on Earth that which belongs to Heaven: to be fully fleshed, wholeheartedly human, the kiss of Heaven meeting Earth’……. well said, Elisabeth (Rochat de la Vallée. With reference to the Analects of Confucius).

Dear alchemizer, dear human… create something. Journal. Speak. Draw. #therealthing #Imperfectly

The Dao delights through you, experiencing itself in creativity. Oh, yeah.

We’ve met with Founders and Holders of the lineage at Kunpen. The Rinpoche activated new creative directives: moving the needle in the direction of water!!

Fancy an aqua-puncture class / internship / session this spring at the Temple of Heaven on Earth, overlooking Lago Maggiore? DM us if you’re intrigued. We might just make it happen.

Truly, no one does Buddhism quite like Albagnano does Buddhism.

ACU ROCKSTAR ✨
Spend a weekend with Master Kiiko Matsumoto and you’ll quickly realise that what feels like intuition is actually decades of clinical observation.

Kiiko Matsumoto touched down in Holland for a workshop packed with palpation insights, diagnostic precision and clinical pearls.

Real patients. Real-time treatments. No endless theory. Just careful observation, skilled touch and findings that guide the treatment.

Off-campus, Kiiko Sensei was just as impressive — and very funny. Diode rings, scrunchie, unmistakable style. Instantly recognisable.

Meanwhile, I arrived with my unnecessarily large tripod and my one-pod production crew (also me), with the privilege of filming and livestreaming the event from close range.

One of the reasons I keep falling in love with Chinese medicine is its ability to reveal connections.

How the seasons echo through the body. How symptoms make sense in context. How the body reflects the greater whole.

I loved sharing some of these reflections in the latest issue of Happinez. Grateful for thoughtful print, meaningful conversations, and a medicine that continues to inspire wonder.

Thank you, Happinez, for the beautiful feature. 🌿

And thank you to my wonderful colleagues at Instituut Marie and Academie Qing Bai—it’s a privilege to be part of places where this medicine is studied, practised, and shared with care. 🌿

Back-Shu, where East meets West and your back remembers everything.
The Back-Shu points line the Bladder meridian — that ancient spinal wall of becoming human.
From “stand up” to “stand tall.” From instinct to insight.

Each tiny point: a door between inside & outside, body & story.
And yes — this little vintage acu-doll knows all about it.
Once lost to plastic oblivion, now teaching Dao again ♻️

Because Qi can’t be created or destroyed — only repurposed. Preferably beautifully.
One piece. One chance.
Link in story

CHOOSE TO REUSE- Rethink single-use / untenable plastic.

Between another and myself there is an unknown universe. The acupuncture point can be a doorway to this domain. The points invite us back to ourselves and to an enlivened encounter with another. Most of all, they call us forward toward healing that includes the beauty, creativity, uncertainty, courage and passion that are the hallmark of a truly healthy life.

From my book Kigo

Mingmen, the Gate of Life, flickers quietly at the root of the spine.
命門 Mìngmén — where Du Mai flows, where iliopsoas softens,
where sacral openings widen like windows into light.

Anatomy meets alchemy.
Osteopathy meets meridians.
Pelvic floor meets Du Mai.
Bone and fascia whisper the same: you are safe, you are held.

From this quiet center rises a truth:
The flame doesn’t belong to you,
you belong to the flame.

Be present. Feel your roots.
Remember the flame that has always been there.

Flowers and fire and cups, oh my!

An ancient ritual—used in temples, dynasties, and healing rooms long before the hum of modern life—cupping draws the body into dialogue with itself.
Glass domes, suction, and suddenly the skin starts speaking in colour: pink, plum, deep purple.
Each mark a story, each circle a kind of map.
A way to meet the body where it is, and ask it what it needs to let go.

Made this stop-motion with dried flowers.
Feel free to share it with those who are ready to move what’s been stuck.

🌺🌸🌼🌺🍀

PS: I just received a set of cups from @docsavebenelux to explore their new collection—bet they’ll become part of my fire rituals.
