Post Ravens game thoughts:

If you’re a falcons fan you probably had a feeling we’d end up losing this gam, playing a backup QB on primetime, favored to win, everyone picking us, in classic falcons fashion that was always going to be a loss.

If we want to be a serious team in this league we HAVE to win the game we’re supposed to win, and that was an EXTREMELY winnable game. You can pinpoint a few plays here and there that may have led to the outcome but in reality that should’ve been domination, snoop Huntley couldn’t throw the ball more than 15 yards down the field.

My thoughts on Kevin Stefanski and the new staff through 5 games have been relatively positive, but if we want to contend in this league coaching has to find a way to win at home. Coming off two dominant primetime wins it’s as if the momentum was non existent, the offense got off to a slow start, the defense kept us in the game for the most part, special teams had its issues (flags almost every kick/punt).

The way is see it (assuming Penix is healthy) the NFC south is still in reach, and this loss was a huge wake up call.

Onto the Bears in the Benz on Sunday in what feels like a must win. by @thenest_atl

UPDATE: Michael Penix’s rib injury is not considered serious, per sources. Penix might be able to return for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears, but the team wants to be cautious and see him practice this week before it knows whether he will be able to play in Week 6.

Near the end of #SundayNightFootball, QB Michael Penix Jr. got hit hard in the ribs ultimately taking him out of the game in overtime.
How serious is this injury, and are we in the middle of QB carousel again for the #Falcons? #atlantafalcons #michaelpenixjr by @thenest_atl
