I asked one simple question…“What’s one word you’d use to describe Poke’Ville?”Nobody knew what anyone else was going to say.The answers were all different.Community.Fun.Friendly.And then someone said…Family.That one hit me.Because that’s never been something you can force. You can’t advertise it. You can’t fake it. This is the part of collecting that doesn’t show up in a binder.The laughs. The trades. The random pack rips. The conversations with people you just met because you both love the same hobby.The Nexus was never meant to just be a place to buy cards. We wanted to build a place where people could come hang out, meet other collectors, and enjoy the hobby the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed.Seeing people fill this space, play games, open packs, and just have a good time is exactly why we started this.The hobby has always been about more than cardboard. It’s about the memories and the people you meet along the way.The best part isn’t the cards on the tables… it’s the people around them.Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of it so far. One thing I’ve always believed is that the hobby is better when we build it together.We’re putting a big focus on bringing a strong Pokémon & TCG presence to the FL Legends Card Show on August 22–23, and I’d love to see some familiar faces there.If you’re a vendor who’s been looking for a bigger opportunity to get your cards in front of new collectors, this is it. There will be 300 tables, a ton of foot traffic, and people coming in for everything from sports cards to Pokémon.What makes this one different is that it’s all for a good cause. The show is helping support Isaiah 117 House, which provides a safe place for kids entering foster care. Being able to grow the hobby while giving back to the community is something I can get behind.If you’ve ever set up with us before, or you’ve been thinking about doing a larger show, I’d love to have you there. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to stop and appreciate how far we’ve come.Looking at the front of The Nexus reminds us that this place is more than just a building… It’s become a home for collectors, small businesses, families, and friends. None of it would be possible without the incredible support from our Gainesville community.Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, shopped local, attended events, and believed in what we’re building.
