Hey! So happy to see some new faces here. I thought I'd do a little reintroduction and put a face to the name of The Niche since I'm a bit camera shy and certainly don't get in front of it much on my business page.

I'm Anastasia, pronounced the way it looks if you speak a Romance language, or Ah-na-stasha if you don't. I'm the founder and lead designer behind The Niche Interior Design. What began unexpectedly during the pandemic evolved into one of my proudest accomplishments.

My team and I design homes that feel collected, intentional, and deeply personal; spaces that become more beautiful as life unfolds within them.

Growing up, I wasn't exposed to or influenced by conventional formulas of what a room was supposed to look like. Over time, I learned to approach interiors by trusting my instincts while honoring architectural principles that make spaces beautiful, functional, and everlasting.

My design philosophy centers on quiet luxury that feels lived in, warm, and genuinely inviting while incorporating thoughtful layers of interest. Your life isn't a performance, and your home shouldn't be either, but it can still have personality.

I've been fortunate to call Aspen, Colorado, Northern California, Santa Barbara, California, and North Texas home before eventually settling down in the suburbs of New Jersey. Each place has left its mark on how I approach design—the natural essence of the mountains, the relaxed warmth of California, the sweet embrace of the South, and now the timeless beauty of classic East Coast architecture. Those influences naturally weave themselves into our work, and the results are as stunning as they are practical.

As a mom of four humans and one fur baby; more than anything, I hope every home we design authentically reflects the people who live there—not passing trends, but a story that's uniquely their own.

The Niche is a small interior
design studio based out of Ridgewood, New Jersey. Anastasia, our Director of Design has lived from coast to coast which has cultivated her eclectic design palette.
She says, "Growing up, I wasn't exposed to "what was proper" or "how something was supposed to be" therefore, l've always designed with what felt right and let my heart take the lead." The Niche came to fruition organically during the height of the pandemic, and is now a tiny but mighty team of three.

Funky 'lil powder room reveal! Love when clients are willing to go bold on what we refer to as the jewel box. Almost every guest will see it, so it's an opportunity to show some personality. These hand made clay tiles looked gorgeous in the showroom, but installed--they turned out beyond stunning because of the sunlight. Nature makes everything better, and that's just one reason how come thoughtful design planning is so important. Get a designer involved as soon as you decide to begin a project. Something almost every older Ridgewood home has: small bedrooms. Knocking down walls nor adding space to this side of the home was an option, so we got creative with this 9x11 room by making use of every inch; under the bed, the closet, and the wallsss. 🤭 This 7 year old sweetheart is a baseball fanatic, loves Pokémon and Minecraft. The loft provides otherwise wasted space that will be a hangout spot or perfect for a sleepover. We are still awaiting some finishing touches, but what do you think so far?
