For years, young filmmakers have asked distributors:
“How do we get our films into cinemas?”
“Is it because we don’t have the budget?”
“How do we grow,if we never get the chance to learn?”

The industry has talked about supporting emerging creators for years…
but very few have built real pathways.

So at @thenileentertainment , we decided to do something different.

Today, I’m proud to introduce ReelPlay -
a cinema platform and incubator for short films, mid-length films, festival gems, indie pieces, and student projects ,stories made with heart, honesty and courage.

This is one of my personal projects within Nile Entertainment,
and I’m grateful to work in a company that doesn’t just talk about supporting creators, but actually puts resources, structure and screens behind the work.

ReelPlay gives emerging filmmakers real theatrical experience and the chance to learn the ecosystem:
box office, audience behaviour, positioning, marketing, and everything it takes to one day lead real box-office weekends.

Because to make films for the big screen,
you must learn the big screen.

According to Statista, Smaller film projects produce about 391 metric tons of CO2 equivalents (that can power up to 100 homes for a year), while larger projects can generate up to 3,370 metric tons (equivalent to 656 households’ annual energy consumption.)

From sets to props, it all adds up. Movie productions generate a staggering amount of waste, but there’s hope and we can still save our planet.

At The Nile Media Entertainment Group, we’re leading the way for a greener industry with the adoption of sustainable practices such as the use of recyclable materials, efficient energy systems, and reusable props.

There’s a need to combine efforts to build a greener film industry.
